I have Osteoarthritis and humidity makes it worse. My foot pain is unreal in Cancun. I like to say it's just the arthritis but it's probably the 9 hours of dancing too. I have given up on bringing really high heels. I am woken up at night at least 10 to 13 times with foot pain. I just got back yesterday and hell they still hurt.

I so agree with you. We have the cooler as well. By the end of the day the only thing I can get my feet in is flip flops. Hey we can look goofy together. Pain = beauty.LOL:daisy:

...I always put very high factor sun screen on the soles of my feet too. The soles are frequently overlooked.

Don't mean to over step here but you do not need heels to look sexy. So sorry we will miss you and Ron on this trip but there is always next year or maybe this fall.

If at a desk job or sitting on a plane for hours compression socks/stalkings are a good choice to help if you get swelling and to prevent DVT. Your doctor can prescribe different compression strengths on how bad your swelling is. It is blood and fluids not getting pumped back up to your heart Is what I was told. Raising your feet above the heart helps, so ladies, on your backs, ankles in the air.

    the cure

I keep Teresa's ankles up over my shoulders as much as I can and this seems to cure the swelling. Well cures my swelling.

Not too sure if this will help you out, but I had the same issue and my doctor prescribed water pills. I was to take only 1 before my flight and drink plenty of water and that was it - he said if I absolutely needed to I could take one on arrival to resort but not to drink any liquor for 24 hours, but drink lots of water; however, I decided I'd stop at the one and it worked wonders swelled a tiny bit, but nothing in comparison to what I experienced the previous year - it was my miracle pill - after which - I cut drastically down on my sodium and subsequent years no longer needed to utilize the pill - plus I believe your body does adjust to the climate and levels out - or at least mine seemed to anyways - maybe this will help you as it did me... :aktion069:

Check the amount of sodium in the water you are drinking. A lot of foreign companies put sodium in for flavor. I also spend about 20 minutes with my feet up on the wall before I go to bed.
