Hi, Looking for our second trip to TTR. First one was very short but we did have some fun. I think it could have been even better if we talked to other peeps more, as I keep reading that what makes TTR fun is the people. Problem is that my wife and I are introverts, and we both find it difficult to make contact with others ? Any advices ? Can introverts have their fun at TTR? We are not shy by no means, we both got naked in front of all at the sexy pool after all! We are just not skilled at small talk I guess? But once we are started and feel comfortable, I think we are very fun to hang out with.
Friendly hellos go a long way at TTR. Almost everyone at TTR is chatty and loves to meet / make new friends It's not like you have to hold the conversation to keep it going. Also get involved in CCC in general and in the sticky for the month you want to go. That way you will have friends before you go. Post an avatar pic too.
I'm introverted too. Ok I couldn't do it! I am obviously extroverted BUT have my introverted moments because I can get overwhelmed processing information. But that's why I dove into this forum, to try to get to know people some first so that I'm not trying to process so much information at once when we arrive. But now we have like 100 people we want to meet, literally, so that may backfire lol Definitely post a pic, participate in the fun discussions on here a bit and just say hello and the crazy extroverts will take care of the rest, I'm sure of it
Same here. I could've wrote that exact description of us. This will be our second trip also and will be about twice as long as the first (10 nights). We're planning a couple of days maybe away from the resort for awhile just to chill out, step back from all the "action" at Temptation. Not that we don't enjoy it. We'll play games, get naked, all that stuff too. There are some people here who say they've never been in the quiet pool, and that's great. But sometimes, it's exactly what I need.
Get yourself an avatar pic up, so people recognize you...wear an orange bracelet, so people know you're a CancunCare member...and try to push your comfort level by talking to people you don't know each day you're at the resort. Some people just prefer to keep to themselves...and it's possible that your body language gives off a vibe that you'd rather be left alone. Try to smile, make eye contact and position yourselves around the busy places around the resort. Walk up to someone with a colorful drink and say "Your drink looks really good...what is it?" Have fun!!
Very good advice . May is a great month to go to TTR it probably has the largest population of CCC addicts than any other month . So get to know ppl on here then go party like a rock star !!!
Snap....met couples two years ago but due to me being a pain in the butt and quiet we missed out but not this year...chatted and are meeting friends next week at TTR
We are kind of introverts too... but we use some liquid courage to get over it! Seriously, you can try to plan ahead a little by meeting people from this board before your trip. Well, thats the approch we take on this and we have met some really nice and fun people so far. And now we cant wait to meet them all in person! Cheers ! :aktion033:
Just talking about it helps. You know all of us who responded to this thread. The ccc wristbands are awesome idea as it gives you a level playground a commonality. Also watch for what people drink and 'buy' them a bevie. Don't forget about hotel theme games from naked pool volleyball to the regular version...and the other silly games are great at breaking down our internal defenses without even realizing it. I'd love to get to know you both just look for the girl with the flower tree tattoo on side with pink cowboy hat
CCC is the perfect place for those who believe they are introverted - chat with those members going your same week(s) and once you are connected it is very easy to hit the resort and take off running - be friendly, party TTR style, and have fun. Trust me, all will be good and you'll have a wicked vacation departing with life-long friendships made!!!
