Public Service Announcement- Those with new "girls"

HOPEFULLY I'm not telling anyone anything they don't already know but if I don't post and then see someone post that they had an issue, I'll feel bad!

I know several of us getting ready to go to TTR have recently gotten new "girls." Thankfully, my Dr. didn't take for granted that I'm smart (I'm the ditziest, intelligent brunette many people have ever met) and pointed out that since the skin is stretched, it is essentially very new.

Therefore, even if you usually have no issues with burning, treat the new gals like a babies bum and sunscreen those girls up!!! And definitely pre-tan as much as possible!! Also, sunscreen on the incision will help keep the scar from getting dark and "worse."

The first time we went, we met a couple and the female half had just had hers done. Her doctor recommend that she not even go topless during the day (in the sun) so sadly, she followed his recommendation. :icon_sad:

 

Yup, a lady last April only took her top off after the sun had left the sexy pool.

They seem to be pre-tanning pretty nicely, so hopefully they don't burn when in Mexico! :sunny:

Bio-oil works great to minimize the scar.

 

I would definitely suggest lots of massage and virgin coconut oil, very helpful and speeds the healing process. My 2 cents, ,

I have bioCorneum. Allegedly the only FDA approved product for treatment of scars - basically, means the only one someone in Washington knows somebody who knows somebody who put a stamp of approval on it but whatever. lol My Dr. recommended it And I've only have one chance to pre-tan them and the stupid weather keeps changing whenever I am off so hopefully I'm going to get the chance a few more times!!!!! NOT paying for a tan when I live in Central FL. I don't even know where there is a tanning salon, to be honest.

I have virgin coconut oil for cooking...might try that.
