Decided to "revise" this and just say, this resort needs room renovations, and most of all, more staff and better buffet food. Dont want anyone revising their plans because of our negative trip report. I just always like to get whats advertised and what I paid for. We met some awesome couples and had a great time with them. The room hot tub is where the party happens! LOL
Thanks for sharing, And sounds like GOV has some serious work to do! We are scheduled to go in June and really don't pay too much attention to TA but we do listen to what CCC members say! A few more of these reports and we'll be hitting the cancel button!
I hope your report is treated with respect and not bashed, as other disappointing reviews have been received. I appreciate your honesty and bravery in telling it like it is. I live by the mantra "if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is" and as I stated on here in Nov GOV is phony. But some ppl want to shoot the messenger(s). Sorry for your $$$ loss, but not surprised that you feel "taken for your money". Will you give GOV another chance? (Y'know when the place has more time to fully install their concept)
We had been thinking of GOV, but can't imagine going after reading some if these reports. Likely back to the Golden for us.

I must admit I'm disappointed, I guess the more we read the more we will know what we're in for, I'll just hope right now that by the time we get there we will be so exhausted and partied out from TTR that we won't care... well except the room.. did you guys ask for a different room, or an upgrade? Well thanks for the report we are def thinking about this a while since it is our only trip for a couple yrs. might have to do some changing around. We could deal with mediocre but it sounds worse than that...
I wont go on and on, but it really is incredible how people can have VASTLY different experiences at the same place the same week. Maybe it has to do with travel experiences??? Who knows? To be honest, this is the 1st time we've ever complained about a resort. We just are not complainers. But, everyone that wants to go, should go, and make up their own minds.
I'm left wondering how your trip... for lack of better words Sucked and others are having a great time.. I don't get it... is like red light, green light.. you are not the only ones that have had a bad time. I think my biggest concern is the room, and it could just be me but it seems that the people that are getting the shitty rooms.. Motel 6 has been referred a number of time.. are have the worst time.
I think u are soo right on the money! Travel experiences are a huge barometer on 'word of mouth' reccomendations
