Early Check in during full occupancy

    ( responding to pm,s publically)

For those of you asking about room request, areas, pool view ocean view ,changing upgrading rooms when get there

My guess the average stay is is about 9 or 10 days, divide that by the # of rooms,, = 39 room rotating on an average day.

Out of those 39 at least 10 guests are already there wanting to change to better rooms

That leaves 29 (+10 crappy rooms) rooms being vacated that day available for you on check in.

So to think that by putting a request for a specific room on your early check in will make a difference is a stretch.

That being said ,,, the worst room at TTR is still better then being at home working

The biggest factor in your room picking is your arrival time ( not including members).

I think your close Donald -

But major turnover happens on Fri, Sat & then Sunday would be the next busiest day so lots of rooms are turning on those days as so many travel agencies do 7-day trips.

If you are going during a sold out time - good luck. Be happy you don't get bumped to a family resort and take your room at PatyO's for a few days until you can switch out.

Requests online for early check in does not happen. Does not speed up the process. We think it's a black hole of data. Hopefully soon they get it working.

Who uses the rooms that much, only good for passing out for a couple hours and sex parties. Other then that your ass is in the pool, beach, or Paty O's. If there are no rooms Hopefully I can grab one of thoses beach beds to pass out on.

Not sure that getting a room even in soldout times should be considered a privilege.
But then, lets not start the membership war again :)

I can't wait to see who shows up at Pearl May 10-17 due to being bumped from TTR. I am going to count bumpees, figure out my odds for getting bumped and book for the busy time next year so I get it at half price.

Can someone in the know (ie, tourism biz) clue us in as to how a resort can get overbooked? It seems incomprehensible that a modern booking/inventory system would not be 100% accurate in preventing that from occurring.

We arrive on Sunday April 20th around 4pm. It reads as though getting bumped to Desire is somewhat of a possibility but, damn, that would be a waste of perfectly good swimsuits. :)

This seems like a good answer for the "TTR or Pearl" question. If you would be happy at either one, it is a win-win for you.
