I was kinda thinking the same thing, if I tip a buck for every drink we won't be going on vacation again for a good long time lol

Do you have a drinking problem if you're leery of going on a cruise ship due to having to pay for drinks? :ernaehrung015:

Servers I nthe US make less than three bucks an hour and are worked like slave. They are then taxed on 10 percent of sales even if they got no tips the whole day. So on 300 in sales they basically make nothing without tips. It is a disgrace. They should
D be paid MW like everyone else.

Just curious what the going rate to tip the USA transfer drivers. I have always tipped 5 dollars on each leg of the trip but I recall seeing someone mention on here that they gave 5 dollars and had the feeling the driver felt it was not enough. I also once saw someone on here say they tipped $20 which I think is a pretty high. For just a trip to the hotel without the stop to Walmart what do most people tip?

5$ is fine and what I tip, if he's not happy,,,,well too bad

Some people have the money and like to tip higher then normal, but then it raises the bar for us normal folks.,,

Thank fully that attitude (from the driver) is not widespread in Mexico, like it is in Jamaica.

Wow, some big tippers out there, we are from England and here you only tip in restaurants at best, tipping 2 dollars a drink would make it same as buying it at my local, so where is the all inclusive ?.we have been to TTR twice before and found that just tipping when YOU want or feel like is as much appreciated if not more so than tipping every time, of course tips will never be refused, Happy holidays from the tight Yorkshire Man :)

I have to reply on this one, because after years of managing a restaurant, I am now a server and I do very well, it is because of my tips and the service I give, so I am sure we over tip while we are there, but like most, I truly feel they deserve it, we leave at least $5 every morning for our room, tip for drinks throughout the day, never less than $2 or $3 at breakfast and lunch buffet, at least $10 -$20 at dinner, depending on the service and then before we leave, I find my favorites and give them a good tip before we leave! ;-)
