GOV Groupon?

Someone mentioned in one of the other threads that they used a groupon for the GOV.

I wonder if there will be any more? Can someone post it in here when they see one? I only get ones to my area and I'm not sure how to go about getting notices for GOV/Cancun pushed to me. Is there a way? I have added Cancun Mexico and Travel as one of my favorites but I'm not getting the deals that pop up when I log into Groupon and see them. I just saw one for Temptations for 222 per night.

I mean, I can log in and look every week but who wants to do that? LOL

 

The price sure seems high right now. The Golden is a couple hundred more than we paid last year at the same time, and GOV is about $600 over that.

 

I initially bought the groupon, but after someone else pointed out their deal on orbitz I cancelled my groupon and went with orbitz. Saved a couple hundred $$

Booked TTR 2 weeks ago on ALpharooms for $160 per couple for July.

 

Hmm- interesting about the Groupon. Usually they're like 40% off! Booooo

 

Weve used SkyAuction for Hedo a few times and it was great. The groupon seemed to be the cheapest that weve seen so far ( 150/night). Alpharooms seems close when we try (161/night) .

Were not booking it with airfare though. Are people getting it cheaper than groupon? if so lemme know. Were going in early december.

We also noticed that the Golden was higher than in previous years, but we just figured it was because we were booking for the beginning of May, only about a month away.

 

We are going late Septmeber and the cheapest I have been able to find on any site is $215 for the standard room and $268 for the spice room. This seems high to me since it will be the low season. Anyone else going in September or October that has been able to find a better deal?
