I don't want to check a bag for $20 and wait for it in baggage claim just for the sake of a $5 bottle of sunscreen. I have absolutely no other reason to check bags
It's not up for me to debate it's against the rules but in either case it's irrelevant to the issue on hand. I need a bottle of sunscreen bio or not and I don't want to pay $30
Yeah, even the regular stuff is 300-340 pesos across the street. I like the idea of the $1 bus ride to Walmart. Option 2 is we asked the driver once in the van to stop at oxxo and he did. I think it depends on the driver. We tipped him more of course and also got some other things (diet soda, red bull, pretzels)
We did the Walmart thing once and it wasn't much cheaper. We just go to the pharmacy across the street an pay the 28 bucks. Still a lot less than $140 for two checked bags each way, not to mention getting out of the airport fast.
Have never waited more then 5 minutes for checked luggage in Cancun. BUy the time you get through immigration the luggage is coming out. Too many shoes for the misses From Canada checked luggage has always been free, one of the few perks for paying higher prices
I've never been able to figure out an upside to traveling with carry-on only. As Donald said - Jamie's shoes will just about fill a checked bag and you really don't spend any time waiting for luggage once you've cleared immigration. I've got absolutely no interest in going anywhere near a Walmart on vacation when I could be in the Sexy Pool. As humid as it is...there is little chance I'm going to wear something more than once...so a carry-on just isn't practical.
Simple solution - since your only there for 5-days fill 2 or 3 3oz TSA approved mini-travel bottles with lotion.
