So many people say to request a room away from the Paty O bar to if you are a light sleeper.

!. We would like to have a quiet room but not sure the block or area we should suggest at the desk when checking in. Is there some areas better than other?

    2. We booked the basic room and read upgrading at the desk can be the cheapest way to get an upgrade. Has anyone upgraded at checking… if so what kind of deal did you get for what kind of room? was it worth it to you?

    3. What are the chances of getting a King bed… we have a king at home and not sure sleeping on a double would be to comfortable haha

Ask for anything around the quiet pool or the 5000 block and you will be fine. If they give you a room with double beds just ask for a different one. Last year they took us to a room right next to Patyo's and we didn't even go in the door when we asked to go back to the front desk, and then they gave us a room in the 5000 block with out a problem. We've never done an upgrade at the front desk so not sure about that. Good luck and have a great time.

Sometimes they can't give you something on the first day , but will move you on the second day

We actually prefer a room near Paty O's. Less distance to crawl when we finally decide to go to bed :)

Yes you are correct about that but during the day the music is at the sexy pool area so as long as you are not close to that you should be ok as far as sleeping late in the mornings.

We were in the quiet pool area at Christmas and it was perfect. We were there for 16 days and knew sleep would eventually become a need not a want. We haven't done the upgrade at the desk, we paid for the upgrade beforehand because at 6'5" a double wont work for me, the jacuzzi tub is a nice perk too:aktion031:

We have had a room over patty o 3 of our last 8 trips. It's the loud music till wee Hours of the morn....even ear plugs can't help you. If you partied it up that night you are going to be fine. Last year I was sick half of our 9 day trip so I wanted to sleep. I love the convience those rooms have to pools and restaurants though. We will get one again in June I'm sure.

We were in the 5000 block last year. Requested quiet room and had no problem. The walk was really not that far.
