Afternoon all :aetsch004: Anyone know if we will need a driving licence to rent a golf buggy on Isla Mujeres? and is the driver allowed to drink ?:daveandmo:
We go to Isla every year and ride around on the golf carts. It's well worth the trip over. Very pretty scenery and it's nice to get away for the day and recuperate a bit
Don't rent a cart from the guys at the ferry....EXTREMELY slow...wait till you are at the island so you can see the carts.
also it seems like the cart places on the main strip when you get off the ferry have so old ass run down carts, we always find a place a couple of blocks in that arent used as much and the carts seem newer and nicer
Great info. We may check that out this year instead of going to the first place across the street from the ferry
when you get off the ferry cut across the street too the right go down the street that is right after a golf cart rental and on the next street on the left thier is another 1 that tends to be a few dollar;s cheaper, and yes on the lic and the drinking.
Yeah that is good info, we rented the cart for a day and drove all around the island. It was a great day and would love to do it again. The only problem I had was the cart I rented...according to the owner, and I quote "MY BEST CART SENOR". Luckily for us it ran well enough to get us from one side of the island to the other but man did it sound like crap....I was worried I'd be walking back to the cart place saying it had broke down on us. Well I was certainly feeling like I had rented the worst cart they had until I saw a cart limping into a parking lot on the other side of the Isle being driven by 2 guys from Germany who had rented from the same place sounding even worse than the one I had rented
