Too Old? Too Prude?

Hi - We are planning a trip to Cancun in August to celebrate my fiancee's birthday. I want to something special. In the past we have been to the Royal Hideaway and the Royal in Playa del Carmen. Both were very but very quiet and we found ourselves wishing we have friends there. As we are asking our friends to travel for a destination wedding later in the year we figure this vacation will be on our own.

I want to preface the questions I am asking by saying I have been to Hedo 3 (not 2) a couple times and came out of there thinking "It is what you make of it" and I would tell anyone to go except my parents. I am not particularly showy and may not even go topless but we like to have a good time and interact with other people. I am not "afraid" of swingers actually I find them to be quiet friendly, fun and sociable - just not into sharing. No judgements. We are just looking for a fun place to socialize, do activities and relax. I loved how Hedo had sexy and fun games and we love games.

Questions:

Being in our 40's are we going to stand out as old?

Are the rooms nice enough to be able to spend time in them if we want?

Is there room service (is it included)? My fiancee works out a lot and is always eating late at night.

Is it like Hedo - a lot of fun and - no judgements for people who do not want to get too wild or people who want to?

Can you get a quiet room if you want one - are they hard to come by?

Comparing TTR to Hedo III is a pretty much on the correct track. At 40 you will fit right in at TTR. But really no one really stands out as being old or young. TTR is really an combination of 2-3 older resorts, some rooms are very good, some are pretty basic.
There is no "in you face" sex like at Hedo II, Hedo III was always a bit tamer and really had a bit younger crowd. If I recall Hedo III would often draw a bit 'kinker" crowd


Hedo II had the midnite buffet (forget if Hedo III did), TTR has the all nite grill at Pattyos
for burger, fries, etc.

Just like Hedo III, TTRs beach ain't that great. At III you could go go over to Breezes Runaway Bay and use their beach, but those days are long gone.

I think you would find TTR to be a great fit. Party 24-7 if you want or just lay by the quite pool and relax. Some folks miss the nudity aspect of the Hedos, we don't. Topless is just fine.

You possess the perfect perspective and will fit right in at TTR. Your age is about right on target for the resort. We were Hedo alums, but have never returned after finding TTR.
And like you, we and many others, have stayed at upscale resorts,and like you say, find you don't socialize at them. You will make friends at Temptation if you want friends. And you will be laughing at the games.
If you didn't mind Hedo lll, then you will luv TTR.
I have celebrated 6 birthdays there and he should enjoy it.
You can request a quiet room, but most rooms are just basic 3* amenities.

sounds like you will fit in, just get on the roll call for the month you plan on going make friends and start shopping for the theme nights.

 

I have to say the first time I came to TTR I was very nervous because of some of the things I read about. Also I am 42 and my wife is 27 so I felt like it would be more of a place for her than for me. From the moment we got there this place made you feel has if you are part of a family. We made friends that we still speak with today and actually go on vacation outside of TTR. Not only will you fit right in but you will want to comeback over and over again.

 

If you are 40 and stand out as old, I am not sure how that makes me feel . Actually TTR is very non-judgmental, and you will fit in fine.

I forgot 40, fifty is getting foggy, 55 is vivid, LOL
