I was wondering how the beach was at TTR. I love the beach but I was told to be aware about sea lice and not really knowing what it was I did research and now freaking out is this something I should really be worried about.
Sea lice is usually an issue on the other side of the 7 where the nicer beaches are, never heard of any issues at TTR. They are not actual lice but jellyfish larvae. Peak time is April through June. More info at: Sea Lice In Cancun 2020 | Best Prevention And Treatment Info
Thanks for the info guys but im thinking I might just play it safe and stay at Sexy Pool all day hey sounds like that might be more fun anyways!:bootyshake:
Dont freak yourself out..we've been in the ocean hundreds of times on our trips to TTR and Cancun and never had a issue..
More people have had issues with jelly fish stings at TTR than the lice itself. I just stick to the pool. Something about being in water with fish that is a turn off to me personally.
We were on the beach last year in late April often and at all times of the day and night. No issues. That being said TTR's beach is small and not exactly the highlight of the resort, but for us it's better then the quiet pool for a little time away. Sand, Sun and still hear the music from the sexy pool. Late night you get the sound of the water and cool off from dancing at Patyo's, plus the 'scenery' late night can be entertaining at times too. Joni loves it out there.
We spent lots of time at the beach. Lots of shade, always a chair and the water is warm. You can walk out a long way but still deep enough to swim. Plus, you can still get up and go watch all the games and refill your mug. A little walk never hurt anybody! I like the pool too but the chances of getting a chair and getting one in the shade are less than zero for me. I just can't get up early enough!
