TTR is completey sold out last 2 weeks in April

I believe the later you arrive to check in that day the more chances of being
bumbed, but they do Ask for volunteers first.

 

last two weeks of April is spring break madness... i dunno if we should b scared or excited

 

Want to clarify a couple things...
- end of April last year there was very little, if any, spring breakers
- bumping occurred for 2-3 nights and was on a volunteer basis
- notes were slipped under doors asking for volunteers
- we didn't get one, we think because we were in a jacuzzi room. Another advantage to upgrading.
- the only situations where I have heard of required bumping was over a year ago for people arriving late on Friday or Saturday. I truly believe this is rare and they are better managing volume through the volunteer approach over the last year.
- as stated above, frequently if you don't volunteer quick enough they won't need you, there are more than enough people that want the upgrade.

So end result is I was just as worried about you all in the past and have learned that I was worried about nothing. Hopefully that applies for April/may 2014 too.

 

I sent an email to Temptation last week after booking our vacation through a travel agency. I received an email back stating they don't have our reservation yet? Has anyone else experienced or heard of this? We're due to arrive April 18, a mere 31 days away!!
We've been to Desire RM and had an amazing time, but we really want to be at TTR with our friends who arrive the next day and 2 days after us.
Help please :s

 

Just a FYI - If TTR is going to bump(voluntary or otherwise) during the last weeks of April it will probably have be to some other property than the Desire locations.

Pearl is already sold out for the 3rd week of April(there is a takeover group in there that week) and pretty much sold out with normal bookings for the last week of April.

Desire RM (between groups and regular bookings) is already sold out from the second week of April until the second week of June.

i just got off the phone with some one at Temptation.. they did confirm from April 18-28 is sold out.. O_O

 

We booked in mid-January, while there was lots of time and space left. There's no way we cant have something reserved. Apparently the travel companies and online booking companies don't release their booking details until 2-3 weeks prior to arrival, so they should have a room held for us even if they don't have all our details.

 

These bumping threads drive me crazy...lol. if and only if you were bumped its usually only for one night.. every April and May someone start these kinds of threads and everyone gets all upset.. lots of people last year offered to share their room with any April addict that got bumped and No one that I knew got bumped so, don't stress. its a chance to sleep on your travel day..lol

 

I personally don't think it's a bad thing to get bumped for a few days. This will give you a chance to try out the MUCH more expensive desire resort without breaking the bank, and STILL getting to spend some time at TTR. I for one will definitely give my name when we get there as we'd love the chance to give it a try.
