IMO in general this is a pool only topless optional resort so it's not a swinger resort, nor is it a full nudity resort (depending on the mood of the security peeps of course). HOWEVER - if you look for those things (swinging, sex, full nudity) you will find them, and sometimes unexpectedly. I never saw anything, but damn, that's because I didn't know about balcony shows so next time I'm all over that (watching, and maybe making one...). The party element is extremely fun but people were always respectful that we encountered. Nice Shoes does allow for more risque behavior with the games they play so expect it. Paddy-O's seemed more restrictive, my wife went topless there for 3 hours one night and then security came over and asked her to put it back on. I wouldn't bother with excursions for such a short stay (or even with a long stay) just hang out and enjoy the party/sexy pool. If you see something that offends you look away. It's not likely anyone will be verbally offensive to you so you both should feel comfortable being who you are. I'm a newb but from what I can tell and had experienced is that when someone has reservations about going to a place like temptations the TTR pros get defensive because they don't want a prude wrecking the fun. We went there to cut loose and show a little skin and having people frown or complain about it when it is the whole point of TTR is disconcerting. BTW my fav's were the foam party and the bacchanal night (awesome food). The quiet pool was nice for a break though less people watching there. They also have free use kayak/catamaran's if you need to take a break away from the resort. Hope you have a blast when you go!
Inspector Steve. . .your investigative skills may be needed. Very suspicious. Cancunfirsts. . .if you are legit. . ...I suggest you try the Holiday Inn just down the road. Your tone is evident that you WILL not enjoy your vacay at TTR. You should save your money. Reading your posts makes me feel like I have a detention after school, if I challenge your authority. Btw you lost me with your very first paragraph. And many of your comments are contridictive and senseless. I don't believe you have any intention in going to TTR. Prudes like you would never set their sights on Mecca.
Marshe, I'm glad I posted my questions and concerns. People suggested GOV may be better suited for us and, frankly, it looks like a nicer resort overall and I think we'll give it a try. We're hoping their new concept catches on more and more before our September trip. Many keep saying it's the people who make TTR great and there are indeed many on this board who are willing to offer opinions and not be offended by sincere questions. Then there are those like you who are major turn offs. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
As a newbie visiting in 3 wks, I appreciated cancunfirsts overall point of the post!!!! The forum makes me nervous, anxious, excited, and scared all in a few threads but I'm booked packing and ready to experience!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its only 2 nights.. if you absolutely hate it its only 48hrs out of your life on the other hand it could be the best 48hr out of your life. What we find great about TTR, as you suggested party all the time.. it can be if that's what your into or you can hang out at the quiet pool or on the beach.. very relaxing.. I guess what I'm trying to say is you can have it all at TTR.. you want to party like a Rock star or relax its all there.
This is how I explain TTR to those who ask....I have been 3 times many years ago, long before I discovered CCC, and I am heading back the end of April this year. You have to keep in mind that you will be hanging out with people from all over the world that may have different standards/customs than you do. When I see people topless or naked or shitfaced or completely going nuts...I applaud them!!! I being an American, learned from my trips to TTR that my upbringing is actually very conservative compared to some people from other countries. That doesn't make them weird for being so open, it makes ME weird for being so reserved. And I am jealous that I wasn't taught the way they were accepting the naked body as being natural and beautiful and not shameful. Regardless, forget about the physical stuff. The place is not the Devil's playground as some may think, it is more like a kick ass adult summer camp and a drunken United Nations of sorts. Boobs, Tomfoolery and some aqua debauchery is only the tip of the iceberg...I think the amazingly cool people and the mass quantities of laughter are what makes TTR so addictive. I have been to other resorts in Cancun (even totally nude resorts) and nothing compares. If anything, the people at the more risqué resorts seem to be more respectful of each other compared to the conservative or family resorts. Like others have said...don't go looking for bad things or you will find it. Go with open eyes and an open mind. Enjoy your trip..Salud!
Well said C&BStLouis terrible what baggage we carry from our upbringings... sure is fun trying to leave that at home and find our true spirit at TTR
