I saw on the news that Mexico in general is way up this year...that's everywhere, not just Cancun and TTR
Just booked GOV for April... Saved over $600 vs TTR and that was with the spice upgrade. Too good of a deal to pass up and not try it!
Being flexible on dates, days of the week, different airports and non-direct flights are also good ways to save money. We paid $1273 each with airfare from Minneapolis for 12 days this May by being flexible. If you shop for specific dates with only direct flights, you're going to pay a premium for that. For some, it's worth it and may be the only way if you have to arrange for child care or have a job where you have to request specific time off way in advance.
We just booked TTR for Halloween...Oct 25-Nov 2. 8 nights with air from Missouri $2250 including insurance on American Airlines. We thought it was a pretty good deal! AA was a little cheaper than Orbitz this time. On the other hand, we went to GOV at the end of Feb and for those of you who think it is not a party place, you are wrong! At least it was the week we were there! We had a great time and for the week we were there it was $1000 cheaper than TTR including a room upgrade.
Kinda think a hospital would be a party place if you two were there. Bcuz you were there doesn't prove it is a kick ass party. And we all know where it is at for All Hallow's Eve.
well we finally caved in and booked seperately. Got 12 nights for about $2180can. through Alpharooms, works out to around $182 a night. plus flights also bought seperate one way direct flight tickets, going down with tango/Air Canada depart at 930am arrive at 1230pm for $512 for 2 people. Got burn't with return ticket, going on Westjet depart 430pm from Cancun arrive 930pm in Toronto. total price $885 for 2 people. Grand Total of $3577 for 12 nights. I could have saved money on connecting flights but no flight times all include an overnight stop, Which is bull Shit. I also went to a travel agent to see if they could beat this price, they could not come close cheapest they Got for the resort was $2600 or $220 a night. They never heard of Alpharooms before? Any way I am happy to be officially booked, and can't wait to meet and party with our friends again. come on May!!!!
