My wife and I are going for the first time at the end of April, as I respect all questions and concerns I feel this resort is meant for people with open minds. From our perspective it is all in what you make it. Others should never influence you in any decisions in life. We are expecting to go with open minds and do as much or as little as we feel comfortable. Again its all in what YOU make it. One thing we do know for sure is we picked a great month for our first visit and we have no doubt there will be some great new friendships to make !!! Come on APRIL WHOOP WHOOOOOP
HEDO can be pretty crazy depending on what group is there...just saying and definitely not trying to compare
Heard April is fantastic but have never been in April...May and September are amazing (but damn hot n humid). Consider May next year
Cancunfirsts, First of all, I think it’s certainly okay to ask any question on here. Yes, you probably can find answers on other threads, but there are lots of people who ask the same questions over and over again. Anyone who is a repeater was once a first timer. I didn’t find this forum until just before my 2nd trip and sure wish I had found it earlier. Ask away and I’m sure you’ll find lots of people willing to answer your questions…….but as you can see, there are lots of differing opinions. Most of us have been to the resort a few times and we go back for a variety of reasons. Two nights is a relatively small sampling and my one suggestion is that you become quite active on this board before you go chat with those who are going at the same time as you so you have some names and faces (avatar’s) before you arrive. One of the nicest things about it is the anticipation of seeing / meeting in person new friends you’ve chatted with online. Plan on participating in the theme nights the nights you are there. A lot of newbies find that they wish they had planned to. You’ll find acceptance immediately from those others who are in costume for the night. As others have stated, you’ll likely see about 60% (on average) topless women. You may see the odd bit of complete nudity during some of the games during the day. Good communication with your spouse is key. As many have asked, how will you feel if your husband is around topless women or if you choose to try being topless, how will he feel if others are admiring you. As some have stated, there can be idiots who push the limits of respect, but a good confident no usually handles things and you will find others that will be there to support you in getting rid of the offending party. As anyone who has been there more than once, each trip is different and you can’t predict how tame or how wild things will be on a given week. Your attitude and openness is really the key factors on you having a great time. You’ll likely see some things that make you raise your eyebrows and you may decide after a couple of days that its not a crazy as you thought it would be. My advice is roll with days, be friendly and open and I think you’ll find it might be one of your best vacations ever! If it’s not, you can always chalk it up to a crazy experiment and you’ll have some great stories. J I hope you decide to give it a try and have a great time!
I was totally freaked the first day. Did not know about CCC before trip but just from hotels site knew I was going to need to find a comfort level. By night time and a few too many drinks (newbie lesson learned that night) I was having a great time and already had friends. Second day still hesitant to go topless but hubby wanted drinks and boobs seemed to get waited on faster. Once I eased up on my self, the fun was on. We participated in games. Made lots of new friends (several we are still in touch and all go back in November together). And it is different every time. Even with same people. It depends on the mix of crowd. The repeaters do a good job of monitoring people. (Like put your camera up you can't take pics, dude your a bit drunk.... Go see Nathan he will be happy to dunk you with a five gallon bucket if ice water or we've even escorted a few drunks to their rooms.)But there is not an over abundance of drunks and they seem to only do it once. Next day they are usually apologetic, particularly if they made an ass of themselves. It us termed with affection " spring break for adults" for a reason. If you get tired of the craziness there is the quite pool. Like a lot have said, if you go with open mind it's a blast. You will see a little of a lot of things and there are great people and there are jerks but if you love it like some of us junkies, you make friends and keep coming back. November when we go will be 5 trip and first time to do excursion. Just can't bring ourselves to leave due to having so much fun with old and new friends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't understand how you can say that "no one is out right honest"? I haven't read any comment or review that isn't honest? That's what this whole forum is all about? Or am I wrong?
MelnReg, people in this thread have done a very great job of giving very honest opinions. I wasn't referring to this thread. But in general when people have asked very vague questions they have gotten very vague answers. I was looking for more specific answers and didn't want the answers to leave any room to wonder what they meant by their answer.
I wasn't referring to this specific thread. I have been an active member for a few years and have never found that peoples responses were vague. You get the odd joke but I feel people are very honest and many go above and beyond answering questions for newbies in particular. I guess everyone has a different perspective.
honestly, talk with your other half about yr comfort zone, both of you continue too stay active on the forum plan on doing the theme nights, when you get their look for ppl from the forum who can show you around,(some one will deff be willing to give you a tour of the resort) Talk to everyone, don't judge anyone, try new drinks and hit the restaurants( but when u make yr reservation make it for 4 ppl)just in case u make friends. yr their for 2 days make the most of it you can sleep on the plane who knows in the end you'll be "dam, we need to go back longer next time" or "what the hell did we just do" this is your vacation. but everyone on here is always willing to help.
