We always travel on Sat and there was only once that we had a ridiculous line. People were being rude, bla blaah blah. That is what reallt pisses me off. Butting in line etc. Get a life. You r on vacation
We arrived on Feb 14th in the am and it took us a total of 50 minutes by the time we got off the plane till the time we stepped outside. Oh and we got the red light.
We generally arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings and usually are through in less than 30 minutes. It also seems to be cheapest time to go.
We have been through Cancun airport 4 times, each time being a Saturday - Saturday trip. We usually have to wait about 20 minutes for bags and Customs is rather quick. Just remember after you get your bags to walk straight through the "zoo" as everyone will try to sign you up for excursions, cabs, etc. Go right outside and then look for your transportation company.
On Thanksgiving we got through immigration in about 10 mins, yet then waited about an hour for the bags...last off the plane apparently. I must admit I prefer wait for bags than immigration. At least at the bag conveyor you can't see a line.
We arrived on a Thursday last month. We had zero wait through immigration, waited about 15-20 mins for our bags and then about 25-30 mins to get through customs. We both got the green light.
I haven't been out of the country in a bit, forgetting what the red/green light talk is about? Luggage search?
they still have the green light red light, but they now pull over a lot more because they ex ray all luggage and pull over anything suspicious ,, IE Bubba mugs look like hand grenades i found out
