Hello, My wife and I are looking to go to cancun in december. Weve been looking at Gov and TTR. Were on the fence between the two. We have been to Hedo 2 before and we have been to nude lifestyle parties in vegas so this wont be our first Rodeo. We dont drink really so dont care who has the better booze etc. Were super outgoing so were not concerned about being able to meet lifestyle people or Vanillas. Were looking for the nicer place of the two resorts. We are more concerned about the quality of the hotel/beach/food/entertainment. We have read some reviews of each trip advisor etc and both seem all over the place at times.The mrs likes being naked/topless but the single dudes kind of creep her out a bit. Any recomendations? *ALSO* We did not mention Desire since we plan on splitting our week there also. We just want to mix it up and try 2 different places while we are in cancun. Thanks in advance! IMHO: GOV still needs more time to adapt to their new concept and get the right people in. Cancuncare couples have been leading it that way (by recent reports) and time will tell how things pan out. GOV is definitely a nicer location in respect of ocean and beach, more convenient for clubs etc. They are renovating rooms in a phased manner but there are still some that are not up to scratch by all accounts and bumping to another Oasis hotel is a possibility.... unless you name drop our own Valentina . It depends what kind of party you like but I'd say Temptation has the better party for what I personally like at the moment. Some complaints recently about rooms not being up to par but rumours of impending changes and expansion still persist but little solid info coming out from authoritative sources. Single dudes who haven't seen tits before may be a potential problem at both places. At least GOV does not send staff to porn conventions to publicise their resort. You have a long way to go before December - I'd advise to see how things progress at both places. Thank you
I'm going to GOV in 6 days and 5 hours then TTR on April 8! I'll be able then to compare both of them! All of my reviews are always the truth I don't exagerate in anything! Gov is still in makeover the new concept was release last november so before to have a full concept install I'll wait for a fully year! We are going in July, a few days at GOV then TTR. We will spend more days at TTR because we enjoyed it last year so much. We are looking forward to your trip report WnC
We are also going to both next month and will be able to provide comments about our experiences. It is important to keep in mind what Steve said about GOV still being a work in progress.... and time will tell whether or not it is/becomes the type of place you'd want to stay.
Never been to GOV, but seems much nicer than TTR. If you choose TTR, you need to have realistic expectations about TTR. It is a 3.5* after all. As we put it when we try to explain what TTR is in term of "quality", you wont be "WOWed" by anything. Everything is just "Ok". We dont go there to enjoy food, or view, or for relaxion because that is another kind of vacation... wich we do also enjoy from time to time. A "vacation" to TTR is to have fun and party! :headbanger: Personally, we would be ready to pay more for an upgrade on quality, but not at the price of less partying. That is why we choose TTR again for may (but we keep an eye on what is happening at GOV fopr future trips)

that is nice. $149 a night this close to May. We already decided that it wasn't ready for us though and we had it booked at $130 a night.
