These are all really good tips-keep them coming! I'm making my list for when we leave next Saturday! Does anyone know, if that OXXO across the street sells beer/alcohol? and is it easy to cross the street or should we ask our driver to stop? (its not a private driver, but we are always the last stop after dropping everyone else off)?

This may sound a little crazy but pace your self on drinking on the way there you will catch the first day curse and that makes for a short night of a long day.

Get an aluminum wallet to protect your credit and debit card info from getting stolen via somebody's smart phone device.

Avoid using debit machines at and around the resort. Different people have been compromised lately!

Canadians are fine , but they due sell protective sleeves

Data skimming refers to reading the personal information on an electronic chip without the knowledge of the bearer. Passport Canada has taken strong measures to protect against data skimming. The chip in the Canadian ePassport must be held within 10 centimetres of an ePassport reader to be read. The information on page 2 of the passport must also be provided in order to access the information on the e-chip. It is therefore extremely unlikely that the data stored on the chip could be read, or skimmed, without your knowledge.
Due to these security measures, the Canadian ePassport does not need a protective sleeve or case to prevent unauthorized parties from reading the data on the chip.
