What a great trip! We arrived around noon on Feb 22. The guys from USA Transfers were waiting and had us to the resort quickly. Check in was a breeze. We had requested an upgrade to a suite through Valentina and got it with no problem. Our room was beautiful! It had a roof top hot tub and palapa with an incredible view of the main pool and ocean. Most of our days started off with hangin at the beach. All of the ladies in our group were topless and so were many others. We had no trouble getting chairs and were close to the bar. Bar service was a little slow at the beginning of the week but got much faster as the week went on. We moved up to the main pool every afternoon about 2. By then the music was pumping and the partying was fun! We brought several cans of AIWC and got many involved wirh it! The Pop Rocks went over great as well! There were many topless at the pool in the afternoon. While the pool isnt the constant hard core partying like TTR it got fairly wild several days! We did have one day of rain which turned out to be no problem...we just invited everyone up to our suite/balcony and kept the party going. We didnt go off site at night and instead partied at Coyote Bar. It rocked! They had different shows each night from exotic dancers to a live band (very good band). We participated in all of the theme nights but this is one area that needs more advertising. We heard several prople say they would have brought costumes had they known. We tried all of the restaurants except MakiTaco and liked them all. Our favorite waa the Italian. We also enjoyed sushi by the pool bar (can eat topless there). The drinks were good...even the red wine which was a good change! The entire staff at the resort was awesome. Valentina is a great asset to the resort and truly cares about customer service (Im sure she has to get tired of people complaining about how GOV isnt TTR). As with all resorts we have been to there were minor inconveniences like having to pay for the room safe, minor room problems, etc but in our group no problem was big enough to dampen our trip! Like at TTR we met many great people...of course many from Cancun Care and a lot of fun with them all! For those of you we met thank you for the fun times and memories! Cheers Laura and Will
Those rooms have the best view and party area, only if the rooms were bigger inside, but with all that outside private personal deck and hot tub who cares. When I was there back in November 2013 during the construction, Valentina said down the road they have planned construction to put a roof over the deck area like the white cloth covers over the 2nd pool for more privacy Glad to see you had a blast, these trip report there are just getting better with the right people
Wow great trip report!!!! We are getting so excited about going April 6!!! It sounds exactly like what we are looking for.
We forgot to mention the foam party! It was awesome! Lots of participation! Also the entertainment staff did a great job. Different than TTR in that its not the games played around the pool but more skits done at the beach or pool. They also had a huge plastic ball you could get in while in the pool (like a hampster ball). It was great to see Sara 69 there! You can tell she loves her new job! We also forgot to mention that while we loved Coyote Bar, it was extremely hot in there especially when the bar was at capacity.
