We're the same. They're in our travel wallet which is in the safe and they only come out when we need them.

I highly recommend travel wallets for people, helps keep all your travel stuff in one place. Like that pesky immigration card people seem to lose.

I'm still sick to my stomach for these guys, I can't imagine waiting for a trip and it not happening :(

That almost happened to us. My wife knew "exactly" where our passports were, but when I suggested we take them out early (just to be sure) we found my passport. . . . and one of our kid's passports. We found the wife's within a day, but it was in her maiden name. So, we paid $$$ to have the name change expedited and got it two days before we flew out.
Then, when we got to the security checkpoint at DFW, the officer looked very stern and said that my passport was valid, but my wife's wasn't. After about 2-3 seconds (it felt like 2-3 hours), he laughed and had her sign her new passport. It's funny NOW.
The moral of the story: all of our passports are now sitting in a safe deposit box (and signed).

Yes...those immigration cards...as soon as we get into our room we put our money, passports and the cards into the safe. The passports and cards stay there until the day we leave...definitely don't want to lose those!

I think it's $30 if you lose one, mind you my memory is spotty, especially right after a TTR trip :D
