No Steve. Only ned to to check in online and customs. I only was going to get it out to check in online 24 hours in advance. Good thing I even did that or we would have been up at 3 in the morning looking for a never to be found passport.
Nop, even here they don't ask for passport and I talk to the lady and she never ask for it! I only need it to check in, security and custom!! And When I booked for my april trip air Canada ask for both of passport when I filled out the traveller information! I guess it's depends where you're from/ where you're going/ and which compagny! All my trip in us for booking I need all passport for everyone!! Envoyé de mon iPhone à l'aide de Tapatalk
Sorry to hear you had to cancel, I believe everything happens for a reason and I would leave it to that....but again I feel your pain, I am always paranoid about the traveling documents...usually I keep them in the safe but if they are out for some reason I make sure they go back in the safe asap...keep all our passports together with all our citizenship cards (we really dont need them unless we travel and we travel often) plus all the birth certificate and all other doc to proof of us being alive (you need tht time to time).
Sorry to hear bout this, guys. The worst part is, at some point you will probably find the damn passport. We hate stress when it comes to our vacations, which is why we usually end up at the airport about 3 hours before our flight. I don't want to take a chance with getting a flat tire or seeing 10,000 people in the security check line. It may cost us a few $10 beers at the airport, but it is worth it!
Tough break, and it is going to be a long weekend (and month). Hang in there, as it was probably meant to be. I am shocked that you only got dinged for $600. I hope you have some flexibility with days off work, and don't get those too messed up.
...and as a bonus, May's rates at Temptation will be lower than what you would have paid for February...so maybe you can cancel out some of what you lost in the ordeal.
You will find it in the most obvious of places once you do. Reminds me of a buddy who "intentionally hides" his important things, thinking one day his place might get broken into and he just doesn't want to go through the hassle of jumping through all the hoops just to get them replaced. We'll sure enough, he hid them so we'll he couldn't find them, mind you he was drunk when he hid them, passport, work visa, birth certificate etc etc, and needed them to go work in Cuba for 4 months, he's a master plumber in construction for hotels. Last minute went to get them to leave and couldn't find them. He replaced them and went to work last minute. 4 months come and go, he is back in Canada and decides to buy a house rather then renting, after helping pack everything up to move, the TV was left for last so we could have some music while loading the trucks. After wiping down the dust off the back the the TV and unplugging it, I pick up this heavy monster to load it last into the truck and low and behold his passport, birth certificate, work visa are all hidden under the TV. Guess he was hoping that if his place did get broken into, they would not steal the massive heavy TV from the late 80's or 90's. We also found the really expensive family watch that was given to him from his dad and grandfather that he swore up and down his ex stole from him, in his winter coat pocket, which he wouldn't of found until next winter lol Have you found it yet, now that you've cancelled everything....Murphies Law?
You sound just like my wife and I give her heart failure most every trip as I tend to cut it way too close Just to be sure, I just put my hand on our passports!
Mine as well.. Even If I used them 3 days ago, I left them on my big couch ! Under my toilet travel things to pack
