Late 20's married couple's first time...

Hey everyone,
The wife and I will be visiting cancun and TTR for the first time at the end of April. We have read over some of the forum posts and are definitely learning a little more about the resort. We are both out going (to an extent since we have no experience in this type of environment) and are very willing to be opened minded about anything and EVERYTHING. We both agree that no one knows us and I'm sure nobody really cares, so why should we?? Anyways, I guess I'm just writing this to hopefully get some good information on what to sort of expect at the resort, what to avoid and what we need to make sure to do as well as hopefully meet up with some people before we get there that will be at TTR the same time we will be. We both can't wait to be in Mexico and on vacation! Ready to be stress and carefree!!!

Think of this place more of a college frat party for adults rather than a lifestyle resort.

Yes you will do things you've probably never done before, like hug a topless woman in the morning that you met todays before, play volleyball in a pool with water up to your chest naked... even skinny dip in the pool late at night... ok maybe you've done all this before.

And yes people do hook up but it's not like people are having sex in the chairs by the pool during the day.

Just go, and know that you will have some extreme flirts and that your wife may be topless when she hugs some guy in the morning by the pool... and next thing you know you'll be planning your return visit!

The nice thing about TTR is you can move at your own level of comfort. Wanna jump in to some naked room party with all of the action? You can. Too much for you? Sit quietly by the pool and people watch. You can do anything in between those too.

We just concluded our first trip. It was very relaxing and fun. No, we're not in the lifestyle, but we do enjoy the respect that those in the lifestyle show to others. We weren't sure what to expect, but basically, it's a party atmosphere and plenty of fun and games. Be sure to introduce yourselves to others and strike up conversations, especially if you see someone wearing a orange cancuncare wristband. You'll know they are on this site.

It also helps to sign up for the roll calls corresponding to your visit, so you can make some friends prior to going. Half the fun is meeting them in person.

I'll second Jamie's take on this. Temptation is not a lifestyle resort...frat party or Spring Break for adults is accurate. Picture a lot of drinking...topless women...revealing outfits at night...sexy games around the pool...people letting down their guard and making friends quicker than you have since 2nd grade.

 

We just got back last Friday from our first time. I think it was about 1pm our first full day at the pool we looked at each other and said I guess we will be back again next year.
Everyone is was amazing, friendly and fun. Just be yourself and have fun and you’ll be hooked.

 

After Temptations, other resorts seem boring. Thats why we keep coming back. We've never been concerned about lifestyles or whatever. We never felt bothered or pressured by anyone either. People are people. Ya know, I think I'd feel disappointed if nobody was interested. That would be a let down. No one can make you do anything you don't want to do so you'll be fine. you have picked a great time to go, there will be a great crowd there when you are going, as said before, chat on the april roll call, get to know some of the people, and be prepared to have the greatest vacation of your life, your right nobody knows you and nobody gives a s***, but you take things at your own pace, you will know what that pace will be after spending just a few hours at TTR, looking forward to meeting you guys.

You'll have a blast, say hi to everyone, especially those with an orange CCC wrist band.

Start shopping for theme night outfits at Yandy. Chances are if you see something you'd not wear in a million years, you'll end up wearing it

BEFORE Temptations, other resorts seemed boring - that's why TTR is our first trip without the kids EVER - skipped right over the Sandals types

 

We have been to most Resorts over the past 8 Year, We went for are first time here last year 2013. It took about 5 min and we were hooked. This is the first time we stayed at a resort and partied until 3am. We can say this, you will only full in love once there and your relationship will soar. Our did and the friend are priceless
