Kim, I can commiserate!! Pulled my hip flexor muscle in the first suicide run of my first bootcamp session...ended up having to take a week off from everything. Back to it today, but still sore. Yes, thank God for Ibuprofen!! Wish we were gonna get to see you guys, but work and school schedules prevail
yes its been so long.. maybe you guys can try for a halloween visit.. we are hoping to go then as well.
That may work....Chris is changing jobs and I think that will be his non-busy season! We'll keep our fingers crossed!
Been doing weight watchers and going gym got a app running to lose weight I think it's called on my phone do that 3 times a week that is getting hard it's interval training and spinning on the days I don't run and some weights . I know that is a lot to lose in 3 weeks but I am eatting all my points. Prob won't be a big lose this week as I was out sat
How is everyone doing.. I'm working out, eating good and hoping it pays off.. guess we will see... Just wanted to post this... if anyone has one of the heart monitor watches or other kinds of monitors.. what is your fat burning zone.. you take heart rate 220.. you minus your age and then mulitply that number by 60% for low target and 75% for the high end and that gives you your fat burning zone.. do at least 30 minutes per day on a treadmill or bike or step ontop of everything else you might be doing ..if 60 minutes is easy than go for it..
I'm doing a bootcamp program at my gym....pretty brutal! The worst part may be having to roll out of bed before 5am for the 5:30 workout!! Only thing I'm worried about is I'm seem to be replacing fat with muscle; not really losing alot of weight (down about 5 pounds in the last month). So here's my question....is it better to look fit and muscular or thin and svelte?? I'm by no means body builder type muscle, but my legs and butt are definitely not shrinking, they pretty solid though
Allison that is stuck in my head as well, I said to a friend.. I dont want to be the weight I am and be toned I want to weight less and be toned but.. after having said it I know as you burn fat and gain muscle you will be smaller, muscle takes up less space than fat. so lets say you are 130 lbs and your body fat percent is really low..you will be smaller than 130lbs with a high body fat percent..there is a science to leaning out and its all about food.. but..I be damed if I can wrap my head around it.. haha! I have in the past lost way more inches than weight.. I think that it just eating healthy and a lot of patience.. I have given up trying to figure it out.. I just eat healthy and workout and figure eventually somethign will happen.. haha!
The nurse in me knows all of that....it's the damn scale I need to throw out the window!! It messes with my head Well these muscles help protect my bones, so I'm just gonna keep eating healthy, working out and try to forget about being "skinny"! lol! I know that no matter what I'll have a great time in Mexico!!
