Thought I would post a quick note. We used the ATM in the merchandise shop at Temptation for some cash during our trip last week. It was the only time we removed our debit card from the safe. Since we returned Sunday, our account was hacked for about $2,000. I am sure this is were our information was skimmed. The thieves made a card and withdrawals and purchases. Also does anyone know who I could contact at Temptation to make them aware? Thanks Kevin
I don't know who you'd contact but the same thing happened to us last time we were there, the only difference is the fraud dept. at my bank immediately froze the acct. and I was contacted immediately , while I was still at the hotel. A huge pain in the ass
That's why I don't remove money from any place except bank and airport Envoyé de mon iPhone à l'aide de Tapatalk
I never ever intend on sliding my debit card through any machine in Mexico. Take cash and put it in the safe.
Your bank...........any bank insures against fraud! If you didn't buy it.......withdraw it......you are NOT responsible for it.........a pain in the ass sorting things out........yes......how severe depends entirely on your bank!
Holy shit! Go on their direct website and send them an email or talk to online chat to find out who to talk to. don't let this go.........!
Jamie's dad was in Germany for work...never removed his debit card from his wallet the entire trip...but had thousands withdrawn from his bank account. The bank told him that theives have a device that can read the magnetic strip while the card is in your pocket and inside your wallet. All they need to do is get close to your wallet in a bar, on the street or the airport. The theft may have nothing whatever to do with the ATM at Temptation. Hard to know these days...just ask Target customers.
AHHHH HA! Was talking to a client about this today actually, Worthwhile investing in one of those aluminum card holders.
