First of all, We love this place! What a super trip we had. Absolutely awesome! Very little negative issues, many many positives. We arrived at 12:30 PM via USA Transfer,(excellent service as always) check in took all of ten minutes (room not ready until 3:00 PM). We changed and went to inspect the beach and pool area. Beach, as mentioned by others, beautiful. We enjoyed a nice walk on the beach and then jumped into the pool and visited the swim up bar. Drinks were great and really quick. Got a bite to eat at the Buffet and then chilled out at the beach. Went back to get our room keys at 3:00. We arrived at room 1031 a spice room on tenth floor. Note: We E-mailed Valentina that we were celebrating our 37th Anniversary (Thank you Valentina for our gorgeous room). Room had no negative issues. Note: Mini frig was not cold, checked and found out it was not plugged in, No I didn’t call the front desk, I just plugged it in myself! The view was to die for, what a spectacular sight. We made friends with another couple who had a room with a balcony and I would definitely not pay for an upgrade because that room was much smaller and the window opens all the way so it almost seems like you’re outside anyway. The elevators are so neat. they are fast and sexy (dark) Restaurants we visited for the evening meal: Moroccan- ate there once, took forever and did not care for the food. Italian- ate there twice and loved it, very nice. Took forever also Mexican- ate there three times, very good food and quick. Japanese- ate there twice, very good. Service was excellent. Buffet- ate there once, no complaints, you can find something that is good to eat and it is quick. Mr. Whimpy for lunch- good food and nice for a quick bite by the pool The Whit Box- We did not eat here because we did not want to waste an hour and a half in line at 7:30 in the morning to get A reservation at 9:00 AM ( a big negative for us ) Sushi Bar- Did not try. Hint: All restaurants are slow and if you don’t arrive when they open, you will be in for a long long dining experience. Pool area is where we hung out everyday, loved the atmosphere. The best part was: No loud music, No MC yelling on a microphone all day, No adult spring break games. Just a nice relaxing, fun, sexy time to enjoy each other and make new friends. Yes, we were topless and met others from TTR who were topless and were having an awesome time. And guess what? Others joined us and had a great time too! There were some fun skits around the pool with nuns (risqué) and Sara and staff with squirt guns and some dancers. They had a bubble ball to Get in and roll in the pool, pictures with the monkey and iguana, body painting ( very sexy ) pole dancing, The big Foam party on Saturday, and other stuff. We went on the Kinky Pirate cruise on Thursday night, included in the AI rate. It was awesome, all you can drink, loud, and fun. Coyote Night Club is THE place for fun. We enjoyed it every night. The live band was the best. Theme night dress is not used by very many, although the TTR guests looked very sexy and had a blast by ourselves. The closing time of 1:00 AM did not seem much of an issue as most people were already gone by then. Hot tubs: We used the hot tubs every night. There are four of them now. You fill and drain them yourself ( small round bathtubs that hold two people ) Note: we usually had four people at a time, once we had six people. Four people work best! We did not use the SPA, their hot tubs will cost you by the hour. Nightly entertainment was great! Aquatic show, Mayan dancers, Acrobats, magician, musicians, circus performers and other shows were fabulous. Usually at 9:00 PM around the pool area. We talked to Valentina about the new concept and she told us it was progressing nicely. They will take delivery of new pool chairs next week, two new hot tubs have been installed( total of four), set up four new pool beds last week. They are listening to CancunCare suggestions. This Resort is not TTR and will never be, but it is beautiful and sexy and was a blast for us. We found very few issues that were negative. We met some new friends and overall we had an amazing time and recommend GOV to anyone who wants to have a good time. Don & Kathy from Kansas
This is sounding EXACTLY what we wanted this resort to be for us after trying TTR last 3 years. Thanks so much for putting such a HUGE smile on our faces. We are so excited to arrive Feb 26th as it sounds like it keeps getting better and better. Question. How rough or ocean "rocky" did the kinky cruise get? one person in our group is very sensitive to sea sickness.. Thanks
The ship just went out about half a mile from shore and sat there for two and a half hours, very smooth. there was no wind that night at all. Kathy got a head ache from the loud music and strobe lights though. If you like the Club scene, you will love it.
Great meeting you guys as well. Snow is gone, it was 70 degrees yesterday, raining today with thunderstorms, snow again for Monday. Normal Kansas weather. We are currently in planning stage for next Cancun trip!!!!!!!!!
So what would you say the percentage of topless was? Was it just the few TTR people mainly? Wondering as well if there was many thongs being worn? Great Trip report!
There were many women wearing thongs( I wasn't allowed to count ). Not as many were topless. There were numerous gals who took off their tops on a dare or because of their husbands whining, but they usually put them back on after a while. Most said they didn't feel comfortable or they had issues with their self esteem. But we did convert a few ladies. Nobody knows you and nobody gives a xxxx JUST GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
