Now that we have been and are back we want to say that we were offered the bump - we declined it. We stayed at TTR the entire time and will refuse a bump on all return visits!
Next time (if you get the chance) take the bump - we were "bumped" to Desire Pearl for 5 nights last April and it was fantastic...........a great change from TTR - au naturelle and extremely sexy.........we loved it there.
Last January we and another couple went to TTR. When we checked in and had the sit down with the concierge (cough) sales rep (cough) they offered the four of us 3 days at Desire free of charge. We declined, especially since our friends were still leary on the whole TTR prospect (they LOVED it in the end) so we figured Desire might be a bit much. At no point were we pressured to take the bump. In fact we didn't even realize it was a bump, I just assumed it was a promo for Desire.
We all complete the Express Check-In...even though deep down we know it's a complete waste of time. At best...I'd say it can't possibly hurt.
We wouldn't be unhappy about a bump to Desire Cancun! Never been there but the Temptation in Cabo turned into Desire and it was a nice place to stay. Really pretty views from the rooftop hotub area! I heard it closed now but I didn't realize there was a Desire in Cancun until I cracked this thread. Sounds cool. Learn new things everyday at this forum. We'll be there 3/4 -3/10 (unless there's bumpage)
