Just checked the prices again today, and they are up $600 from where they were yesterday, on all the major booking sites.
They are booked solid for the next few months. really can't see any motivation for them to lower prices.
I think a lot of people are still on the fence regarding GOV, in a year I wouldn't be surprised if they don't take some of the market from TTR. Add in the fact that more people seem to be travelling and this is what we end up with.
Just saw a report from GOV saying things have picked up a lot over there as far as the partying. We will be there in 2 weeks and see for ourselves. My philosophy is....if you get enough like minded people in a group anywhere...you can have a party! Like everybody always says, its the people that make TTR what it is.
It's unbelievable! I booked our trip through Orbitz Saturday for April 8 - 16. 8 nights, ocean view and flight for two people for $2618. I just checked today for the exact same package it is $3628. Expedia $3477. If I had waited we wouldn't be going!!
Well Donald, Ppl would have to actually follow thru with their GOV reservations for TTR to actually feel threatened. But when push comes to shove, the reality is. . . Mecca is the best value in the marketplace if you wanna have fun. We know it and so does TTR. Lots of folks wanna be like little kids threatening to run away from home if they don't get their way at TTR. And the comical ones are the self-appointed pied pipers leading their group to GOV. You know, like, creating a Temptation bastardization, of the Quebec Syndrome here in Canada!
