There will be 2 large bottles if water in your room. If you tip the maid and ask for more, she will make sure you have extra bottles!

Oh, my pepto incident was only because of the amount of alcohol I drank. My pansy tummy can't handle it and a change of food very well. I actually had to cancel last year's trip for tummy issues before I even got there! :icon_cry:

simple stuff......Don't eat street food, don't drink tap water.....these two things will greatly minimize your chances of getting sick.

We drank the bottled water and left a nice tip that kept us well stocked on water (and beer). For the ice, I like to think that the alcohol sterilized it and we were fine.

As for getting sick on too much alcohol, you have to define what "too much alcohol" means. The concept is foreign to me.

It's always struck me a little funny when people will drink water from a bottle without a second thought - though for all they know two guys are filling these bottles with unfiltered water 20 miles away from a hose in a shabby warehouse somewhere...but think their health is at risk if they use the sink in the room to drink from. Thousands of repeat guests each year drink from the filtered plumbing at this resort each year...and as others have mentioned - the hotel washes all the glasses and drinkwear in tap water...makes all their ice from this same water...washes the fruit you eat in this water...

I've got more confidence in the water from the sink in the room because I know it's been filtered...I have no idea where the water is bottled or whether it's been filtered.
