Every May I go to TTR to hang out with my "Clique" of 500 of my closest friends! The great thing about the roll calls here is you get a chance to meet and talk with folks before you arrive for the first time. That way you are NOT walking into a place full of strangers that you have to introduce yourself too. Now I know there are hundreds of "lurkers" here that read but do not post. And that's OK too. You know what's going on at least. But as my role as Mayor, it's my job to make sure that everyone gets introduced to everyone else. So find me, it's hard not too and I'm usually loud and bothersome, and I'll make the introductions. Also the best thing about going with 500 of your closest friends is that should you happen to be talking to one of your less favorite friends another friend will come along and save you. So make use of the forum to complete the initial awkward introductions hiding behind the keyboard and let the party begin from there. Jamie
......often times the very best thing about "Cliques" at TTR is that they stay by themselves.............. You don't need them.................you'll find many people that you'd rather hang with!
We went for the first time in April in 2006, it was our 2nd visit to TTR, or bbg as it was then, we had such a great time and met lots of great people, that we have kept in touch with, we have met up most years ever since, and over the years the group of people that we call friends have grown and grown over those years, if there was a clique, then our april group would not have grown to the numbers that is has today, and is now called the April addicts, everyone we have met have been great people, and anyone is welcome to come up to sue and me and chat and have a few beers, the first time we went was in the sept 2005, while there we heard about ccc, and joined when we got home, it is the ideal icebreaker, keep up the good work Steve, so anyone going in April for the first time, don't be shy, come up and say hi, you will have the time of your lives with this group. Sue & Dave
Vita & Rome You guys are in for an eye opener, especially Rome. Don't slap him when his eyes fall out with all the boobies hanging out. Tell him the art of talking to topless women by looking at their eyes not boobs, He can check them out after. lol. You guys are going to have the time of your lives, you already met a whole bunch of people from here to party with which is way more then most first timers. We didnt have this site to help us last year as we didnt hear about it till we were at the resort. Cant wait to party with you, you guys sound awesome.
Dave & Audrey, we'd be happy to be a part of that extension, looking forward to meeting all of these crazy people! :mnm:
I agree! Having gone a couple times as a single friendly girl - I just start talking to whoever is around me. My worst problem is that I am HORRIBLE at name/face recognition. Seriously - even if we've met before, I will suck at remembering names. I feel so bad when it happens. A few years ago there was a german girl (see...still can't remember her name, but she was hot) who made these cool bead necklaces with our names on it. The beads were big enough to actually read - I still have mine! So - if you see a loud girl with "Roxie" on her necklace (and small flame tattoos up the middle of her back) - feel free to say hi! I may not remember your name, but I am friendly as fuck!
YES!!!! Does she still come out? And there was another girl with a hookah... (although with my pneumonia, I'm pretty sure smoking anything is off limits for a while...)
