I've never needed bug spray. We go in feb and it doesn't seem to be a problem. One thing I do always bring now, though, is hydrocortisone cream--handy for jellyfish stings. They sell it at the store across the street too.
if your going to go in the sand or walk in the grass maybe some aound the ankles. I got bit bad one year at night at the quiet pool bar, itchy for a day, then goes away for a day , then freaken itchy for 2 weeks. (lower legs). Then other years theres nothing, which is usually the case.
Ali always seems to get bitten and they seem to make these huge red welts on her that last for a couple weeks. It's happened in other Caribbean locales too. Some so bad she has scars from them. Not that we ever remember the bug spray until after she's bitten They don't bother me but then again they'd need a machete to get though the leg hair lol
Best thing for a jellyfish sting is to pee on it. With all the alcohol you will be drinking it will always be on hand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
