Mother Nature is really effin with us!?!?!?

We are scheduled to fly through Atlanta Wed morning(less than 48hours) and arrive in Cancun at 11:30am. Freezing rain and ice accumulation predicted for Atlanta Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. WTF?????

 

We had issues getting out of Indy last year on way to Jamaica. The airline emailed us and changed our day and route to avoid the upcoming weather so we could get there. You might call them and see if they can route you through Texas or something. Good luck!

 

I saw the weather and it looked like it was going to just miss Atlanta. We fly outta There Thursday. Fingers crossed it isnt too bad for us and you.

 

We flew out of Louisville on the 29th..Atlanta closed down.. We got re routed through Baltimore.. Southwest was nice about it.. But we did loose 3 hrs of Cancun sun because of it. Stupid winter weather!!

 

We are in the same boat as you we leave Wednesday morning and layover in Charlotte. I'm so glad I read your post or I would not have checked, on the phone with the airline now to see what we can do..... They gave us an option to leave tue morning instead

 

Crap, we fly out of ATL on Wednesday at noon on AirTran!~

 

Our only option via Delta, is through Minneapolis and we would arrive at 2:30 instead of 11:30. Not sure what to do yet. Gonna watch it tonight and make a decision tomorrow.

 

no ice or snow predicted for mpls . you might be 3 hours later but al least you'll hopefully get there.

 

One thing that I know the airports around here aren't short of is fire trucks full of de-icer
