I've noticed in the pics that most ladies have great tans without lines. Wondering what is the best way to tan prior to living it up in the Cancun sun. Do y'all use a tanning salon? Bronzers? Thanks!
I go to the tanning salon and tan nude. I usually alternate between the beds and the booth and go ever 3rd day. They tell us every other day at the tanning salon, but I don't find it necessary. The booth uses more minutes at the place I go to, so I don't use it every time. I already started for our trip at the end of April and people are already asking if I went away! You can probably start closer to a month before leaving, but I'm pretty pale, so I like to build up my tan slowly. The first time we went to Mexico, we didn't pre-tan and we both got severe burns (including blisters). I know tanning is bad for you, but I'd rather take my chances tanning slowly than risk burning in the strong Mexican sun when my skin hasn't been exposed to the sun in months. The whole pre-tan to prevent burning is debatable, but it seems to work for us.
I don't tan. Ever. In the sun, in a booth. My skin just doesn't tan, so I spray tan. It's gotten so much better lately and most can't tell.
Yep , fake n bake here too . Been at it for the past month or so to get our pasty white Canadian bodies ready for the Mexican sun .
I've been tannin for four weeks and have that white "bunny tail." Anyone know how to avoid that? Probably too late for me since we leave Friday!
When I did lie down I would do half on my back and half on my belly to prevent this. That's another nice thing about stand up.
