There has been some talk of cliques on here in the last couple days so I figured I'd just throw this thread out now rather than coming back to a complaint after the trip. There are a lot of groups throughout the year that have a bunch of people that go at the same time every year. The result of that is that friendships are made but you only get to see your friends once a year. So when you get there in your week and start making your rounds, there's a lot of visiting and partying to get done. I counted roll call and during Week 8, there will be 42 people there that I know from previous trips. That's friggin crazy. Now with that said, I'm all for making that 52 or 62 for next year. Please come over and introduce yourself and I'll buy you a drink. As new people, I'd recommend finding whoever is having the trip that looks the most like the trip that you want and then just jumping right in there with them. Impose yourself on them. Generally, the people in cliques aren't actually standoffish or snobby. They are busy having the party of their year. There's a difference. I am looking forward to meeting many new people on this trip but I need your help. Come join our party.

We went in June of last year and didn't meet people till the end of our trip....I get it now...we weren't members of CCC last time. We will definitely introduce ourselves and are looking forward to seeing our new friends year after year...See you on the 15th!
Cliques are only cliques if u are on the outside ... And if there is ever a group of people that will welcome anyone it is this group of people ... So don't felel sorry for yourself and bitch later... Come and party with us
Very well said! Silvia and I started going toTTR 6 years ago in November , and we met a group that has grown to about 30 , that goes every November .. This year we are wanting to meet even more people so we decided to come in May to IMPOSE ourselves on even more! Lol can't wait to meet everyone
I have NEVER been anywhere like TTR. I have never felt like I was intruding into some private group. I have always been accepted into any conversation I joined. I have always made new friends by a simple conversation while grabbing a drink. I have always felt like its the most nonjudgmental place on earth lol TTR makes everyone special. Age, weight, profession, none of it matters here. Cheers! To new friends, past friends, getting out of your comfort zone, partying like a rock star and wearing shit we'd never wear at home!!
