We leave for home on the 29th of April but we can mostly be found poolside so jump on in and say Hi. As seen above all of us wrestle with self confidence and fitting in, at least a bit, but you will never find a group of folks that are more predominately accepting of others and genuinely don't care to evaluate your physical appearance before accepting you. You are already there at TTR which means you're accepted so gravitate towards those that enjoy your company and encourage you to let loose. Don't give those with negative energy any thought at all. Keep that perspective, keep your eye on the big picture, and come have some fun. See you poolside.
One of mine and my wife's most memorable times was from our first trip. They had one of the pool side contests going on and an elderly very over weight woman was participating. As you can guess....taking your top off was included. She was a little concerned but finally did so. The cheering never stoped for 5 minutes. And neither did her smile once she accepted herself....which she did just then. For the rest of the day she was the most popular person at the resort. It made my day seeing it happen. As for the two guys wanting to do shots off her. I wasn't there but there is a chance that.....they just wanted to prove they accepted her.
Our 1st trip was last April and we had no trouble with the many regulars that we met there. They literally welcomed us with open arms and lots of body shots LOL. I can't speak for other groups but the regulars and newbies that we partied with last year were all very friendly and made us feel as though we had known them for years.
Brewster and I try very hard to scan patio's to see if there is anyone that looks like they are to shy to join in..we usually drag them over.. sometimes we get a no thanks and that's ok too.. Brewster is much better at it than me.. I get busy dancing and... ok, drinking! haha but during the last 2 weeks of April if there is a guy playing guitar at the sports pool, that's us!! come join in!! Brewster loves to have people around when he's playing!
Hubs is a BIG man..................was an NFL'er for a couple weeks out of college a couple decades ago........if you get my drift.....lol! Do YOUR thing...........fack anybody that judges! You won't find many of them at TTR...........it's generally a very accepting group!
Theres always a douchebag in the bunch.... pay no nevermind and carry on. We encountered a similar group of douches last winter... two choices... smack em around, cause a scene and ruin the day foir everyone at the ppol, and ruin our trip, or realize there fucktards, and go get another drink at the pool bar. Have a great trip, wish we were there.
Sorry to hear this..we will be there about the same time as you guys dont be afraid to come up and say hello! Im not exactly the most confidant person either, but there is something about TTR that made me forget that I wasnt. Like Donald commented, its all about letting loose and forgetting everything. I know sometimes, its easier said than done, but never fear, it will happen and you guys will have a great time this go around!!! :liebe011:

Yep, we're camera shy due to a bad experience with internet pictures. But in spite of the lack of pictures, we've already started to make friends. We're there from the 15th to the 22nd, so while our times overlap, feel free to talk to us. You'll know us because we'll be the couple wearing the tiniest swimsuits! He's got brown hair and she's got gorgeous deep red hair. No doubt, head to the sexy pool and the only problem you'll have with us, is trying to get away from us because we'll talk your ears off. My only regret (and the reason I'm quoting LionsNzebra's post is that we'll miss them on our dates. We'll probably pass them at the airport. but there's always next year!
