So much good advice here. I think a lot more people than you realize have body issues. I'm a big guy and have some introvert tendancies, although those that know me find this funny as once I know you I'm outgoing. Ali and I have been traveling to hot climates for 10 years now but April 2013 was the first time I've taken my shirt off, I use to wear rash guard shirts all the time, even in Mexico. Now I don't even bring them. I think we have a day of overlap as we leave April 28 but we'll try and say hi in Paty'o's and we leave late enough we'll have some pool time the last day. In reality, the people judging you about your body type have way more issues going on than you do and are twice as insecure.
Tony and Mary My suggestion to you would be to take Steve's Boobs Cruise as soon as you can after getting to Cancun. I can absolutely guarantee within minutes of leaving the dock you will meet the nicest, most non-judgmental, most fun crowd in all of Temptation. Oh and after seeing your pics I would imagine that there will be more requests for body shots (great boobs) as well as Chino and Omar running around with cans of Alcohol Infused Whipped Cream. When you check in for the cruise Steve will give you an orange CCC bracelet. Be sure to wear this for the rest of the trip. That way, you will be visisble to others on CCC - especially those that have also taken the cruise. You will never suffer that first time BS again. I swear!!

Just be yourself....mingle with people (those that arent cliques) and just live it up. Anyone that is rude just move on....dont waste your time. As far as some groups being cliqueish. ...people can deny it all they want, but it happens. We have seen it with some groups every time we have been there. I think last Sept was the worst we've seen. But to each their own. They have the right to be snobby. All I can say is...their loss. So go....make friends. There are PLENTY of sociable folks at TTR.

Follow the april roll call thread and get involved in the April Addicts threads on here. They are an outstanding community of ppl, but they don't impose themselves on you. So you two have to initiate interaction, but once you do you'll be included. Some of your fears will just melt away. You may find, that you want to re-book when they are returning. And that is how the cliques get formed. Before you know it, you are staying in touch year round, and feel a part of the 'community'. Just like your neighbourhood, some ppl are very social and some aren't. At TTR, the cliques you see have long deep roots, developed from meeting at the resort. But most groups are open to new faces, just like a neighbourhood is to new owners of a house. You can keep to yourself or you can get involved. It is up to you. We travel to TTR several times each year, and can tell you, there are cliques evrry week. We have had weeks where we know half the resort and weeks where we know very few. Those sparse weeks, we just have to try harder to socialize. The more you go, the easier it is to put yourself out there. And confidence becomes your strength. Lastly, many of the Addicts, the group you are goin to find yourself luving, return for Halloween, and I can guarntee you, you won't have any anxieties if you join us then.
