Weddings

K, anyone here ever been married at TTR? I tried talking the missus into it last year, and I'm thinking about trying to talk her into it again

 

I know a couple that renewed their vows there.. It was actually a very nice ceremony on the beach..

 

We are having ours there this May! We'll get the legal part done in the states before we go and do the ceremony there on the beach. I've done most of the coordinating via email with the site wedding coordinator and its been smooth and painless thusfar. Now just have to get things like rings and a dress!

Get married in ontario and then get chino to do a ceromony for you.. haha! its been done.

 

We had a quick wedding with JP here at home and then had renewal of vow at TTR ceremony on the beach.. yes those are great memories. And to be honest I thought well worth the cost something like 850.00 + photographer 5 years ago. There is a wedding planner at TTR and she was great and very helpful.
The legalities and cost of getting married there rather than at home well for us was to costly. Translations, blood tests etc.

 

we're doing ours offsite because it is a ton cheaper. We found a minister that does it at public beaches with a photographer and flowers. Costs about $450.

 

Thanks for all the help! I know there's a really cute little church across the street from th hotel, we've talked about it lots, the only thing that's been holding us back is taking family to TTR, it gives a whole new dimension to " nobody knows you, and nobody gives a shit" all of it becomes " now to many know you, and we can't wait get home to fill every one in!"
But the thought of a reception at the hotel, it's really tempting, it would be a blast

It's been quite a few years (7 next Friday) but we got married at Temptation. We left everyone at home and came and got married on the beach with all of our holiday friends watching and the lovely Steve and Jannet as witnesses. It was a full legal ceremony that required a bit of paperwork and 5 business days in the country prior. Dinner was in the Asian restaurant and then we danced the night away until my white dress turned black! For us it was perfect and still provides us with a wonderful week every year where we come back to the spot and toast another year together.
