What types of tequilas does TTR offer? and is the margarita mix fresh squeezed? what mexican beers do they offer? bottles or draft? what is the tipping standard here? thanks
Not sure of the names but rock gut to some fine stuff... Fresh made but premade mixes.... DOS XX, DOSXX with Ice and DOSXX with Ice and a water back... draft only... graciously accepted and they love all you can spare.... OK.. on the tipping.. since it's truely an important subject, there are lots of threads covering amounts and such so I suggets a search on that to get lots of input. Bottom line is that the waitstaff and maids, hell everybody there, works hard to make sure you get an excellent vacation. Yes your travel agent says tips are included in your price and over the course of a month a individual bartender may see a total of $10 from everyone's packages total because of the number of pockets it has to go through before it gets to them. They don't make a lot in base pay, less than $10 a day, and Cancun ain't cheap to live in... so tips are their real salary. Spend a day watching them take care of folks and take care of you and you will understand that they earn every single penny they get and then some. Jamie
I hate carrying money while at the beach or pool, i'll leave a tip for the maid daily ($5 or so) , then i'll tip the bartender at the sexy pool (jacinto) a 20 first thing in the morning and i never have to wait for a drink no mattter how long the line is. As for beer its dos equis and if memory serves me correctly there is also sol at the specialty restaurants, good luck with the tequila, cuervo is as high end as they go
