Our first trip to Cancun and TTR in June and I was wondering about off site activities. We will definitely be doing a Boobs Cruise, but what else is there? Is XPLOR worth the time away from TTR? What are the "must do" things if any?

    Thanks!

If your staying for 7 nights, the cruise will be fine.

any more then look at options, follow the links at bottom of page.

we generally go on the Boobs Cruise while we're there which lets you visit the island, do some shopping and snorkeling and then we generally do some shopping in the downtown cancun area.. this year seeing we have been to Cancun multiple times we most likely wont leave the resort much.. lol Just keep an eye on the distance from the resort some of the excursions are. Last year we were looking at some but they were like 2hrs away from the resort just to get to the places, which we werent interested in traveling that far eats up an entire day/evening.

JMHO, but since you are only staying for 8 nights, I would keep my activities more local. Most day trips start early and end late since they require transportation to points south of Playa del Carmen. There is a "jungle tour" that the 2 of you drive a small motor boat out to a snorkeling point with a group of others that is quite fun. Also a trip on your own (or with others at the resort) to Isla Mujeres is always a great way to spend a day! Most rent a golf cart and leisurely explore the island sights, beaches, restaurants and bars. The ferry is within walking distance of the resort too. We end up doing it just about every TTR trip!

if you are gonna do one, expect to miss a day at TTR. With that said, XPLOR was AWESOME! We had a blast. Its a day of work though. A LOT of walking, climbing and physical activity. We loved it.

We did Xplor this past trip and we loved the place...if you can get a group together and book a private tour it is worth doing it.
