We have found the best thing for a hangover is pedialyte, we get the powder and put it in
Bottled water every morning even if we aren't hung over. It really works!!

In a place of 90% sun, sunscreen is expensive yes.
That and anything to sooth a sunburn.

Yes there is a store across the street, but walmart is not far either. Comparable prices to back home I believe.

I'm bringing Nuun tablets for electrolytes. They're what I use when I run marathons and they're better than Gatorade or any of those. And they just dissolve in your water. Much easier to transport! Hell, around here we actually mix Nuun w/ our liquor so we don't end up dehydrated in the first place. (BTW, I don't buy them at Amazon, they sell them cheaper in the stores.)

Cringe...yes! One year, I was forced to go because I left all our HBA(health and beauty items like hair spray, make up, deodorant, etc...) in the car at the airport.

As for sunscreen, I just bring it in checked luggage in Ziploc bags. There is a small convenience store next to resort, too.

Tom said the vodka was cheaper at airport than across the street but either way a couple extra bucks is worth it.

Ive heard someone else recommend RecoverORS for hydration. Personally, I try to drink as much water or whatever before I pass out, helps with the morning dry mouth. Im taking one of the travel packs of dish soap and sterilizing wipes too, getting sick on vacation sucks.

Anyone have any recommendations for stomach upset? I've read that nurturing your good bacteria in your gut with probiotics helps.

I've got a stomach bug for a few days last June but so did a few other folks. Not sure what it was, there was a lot of rain before we got there which some said may have had something to do with it. We went again last October and I took a probiotic before hand and had no problems. Not sure if it worked or I got something before my trip in June but getting sick does suck.
