I think, by and large...the people on this forum mostly get it. I'd bet that those creepers with cameras probably are outside this community of CancunCare.
Yeah.. dead horse.. but we had this issue happen to us last April (yes, older and rotund, us, lol.). Luckily we were able to grab a security person and have the premier member (no offense to those members/non members who do comply) FINALLY delete their pictures of us from their camera. A bit of background- We were with our April Addicts group and didn't know the offender and they didn't know or were with us. Then they had the audacity to say, after seeing them sprint to their room, what camera..., what pictures. But in the end all turned out good.
Here's the deal............we have shared much more than pic with friends and folks that we know.....................but if you press on w/o permission.............well........understand what happens next! But please...............understand this is our last choice or resort!
Thanks for coming to my rescue Dave on that one!! Def wouldn't want to end up in that guys spank bank...gross. Best rule of thumb...get in with a big group and everyone has your back in those situations.
I agree that there should be more clarity on photos. There is obvious problems with photos being taken at pool games and whatnot and that's not cool. But I will take my DSLR down to the beach and snap some pics of Kelsey or scenery and any photos I take with innocent bystanders in the background are accidental and typically not identifiable. The problem i see happening some day is some over-zealous dork getting in my face over it. And what constitutes "public areas" anyway? You mean to say I can't take photos on the beach? The hotel doesn't own the beach. And is taking a photo at Paty'Os really *that* big a deal? A blanket "no-camera" policy resort-wide would be a deal breaker for me and many other travellers.
