Just a FYI - Desire RM is already booked up with groups in there every week April and May. Pearl bookings have really picked up for 2014 compared to the same times last year - there are already groups booked into Pearl in April and May in addition to a large increase in individual bookings. So bottom line is, don't use what was commonplace last year as an example of how things might work this year
Oh man. I wished we had this conversation Friday. I went to lock up our dates and the pearl regular room is sold out for half our nights. I don't know if an extra $300 a night is worth a junior suite. Ugh. Do the rooms ever open back up after selling out?
I honestly thought it wouldn't sell out given all the bumping to pearl. Times have changed. Economy is back. People are willing to pay more for more, etc. and sadly with 3 kids I have to wait to finalize the booking until the sitter is finalized which happened yesterday, the same day the sites went from available to sold out of reg ocean view rooms. So now my options are $700 a night for a suite for the week. Moving back and forth between $700 suite and $400 regular room so I don't have to pay $700 every night or mixing it with Temptations which is only $175 a night now for that time. I had my mind set on Pearl but now I don't know.
We had friends at TTR last week who were offered a day or two bump to Desire...they turned it down because some friends had arrived the day before them. They were a late arrival - I think they arrived just as the foam party was getting started.
