No, Desire is the upgrade if they send you to GP they give 2 free nights for your next stay things change all the time, but that is what happens a lot of the time At lot of time its only for one night or 2
To me, after reading some of the stuff from GP, a bump is okay as long as it isn't to a resort with kids as that isn't the intention of my vacation. That said, TTR is where we want to be and so I hope that the advance check in that I did almost a week ago helps them to plan their guests arrivals and departures.
got bumped a few years ago to a sister resort fot 1 night.. Was really pissed when we came back the next day and ended up with a spa room upgrade the rest of the trip... Was worth it
Not sure how I feel about this. It would be interesting to try out Desire but I booked and was looking forward to TTR. I hope we don't have to make that decision.
This is all actually good news, it sounds as if they try and make it right, which is the bottom line, I know a lot of other resorts out there that wouldn't even go to that extent to make things right. Plus it sounds like Desire is nice enough where there would be plenty of people looking forward to an upgrade, Thanks guys for the input. Cheers!! :daveandmo:
We'd take a night or two at Desire if it was offered. We love the party atmosphere at Temptation, but it would be a good opportunity to see Desire for the first time.
Ha. Yeah, this conversation has me scheming for May. I am thinking why am I paying $400 a night (reduced from $500 due to getting a package) when I could pay $200 a night and ask for the bump and get it. Is it worth the risk? Not like the negative side is negative at all, just ending up at TTR. May is a very busy time so it seems very possible.
We love all the day and night time action at Temptation, so I don't think we'd ever choose Desire for an entire vacation, but we've got 12 days planned at TTR this May, so a one or two day detour at Desire wouldn't be the worst thing - a good opportunity to give it a shot.
We love Desire RM, but haven't been to Pearl. We looked into going this year instead of RM again, but it was $500/night. I would hate the inconvenience of moving in the middle of our trip though. Since we only stay 7 nights, that would rob you of some precious time.
