Quick question out there for repeat guests,, I have heard of a few (but not a bunch) of stories of people getting bumped, and being sent to sister resorts, We are getting so excited about the theme nights and the activities and obviously the clothing we are packing......Does this really happen or would I just be worrying too much???
Last year they were over sold in Feb, We hear its always over sold in Feb. We did get a note under our door to go to Desire, but we were with a group so we passed.
Anybody out there ever heard of or have been bumped in March, I admit it makes me a bit nervous, we have met so many people on this website, and look forward to so many activities and meeting new friends at Temptation it would be a letdown of sorts not to have met anyone or been able to participate in any of the activities?
I'm not an expert by any means but what I've heard is that they will ask you if you'd like to stay at Desire and you can decline. If you do it's not for the duration of the stay, I've heard people being bumped one or two nights. Anyone else have any other info?
It happened to a bunch of folks the end of April / early may last year. They went to Desire Pearl and absolutely loved it. We may of joined them but were at the end of our stay and had established some friendships we didn't want to end. They do a good job trying to get volunteers vs forcing you to go. And I have not heard of bumps to the family resort in several years. Either they realized that was wrong or I think I heard the family resort took on different ownership? This year we are paying the big bucks to try pearl ($400-500 a night) so I kind of wish we tried it when it was at the TTR rate ($139 last year).
Thanks for the input, that helps. I guess its better to be safe than sorry, it would be wiser to pack accordingly, just in case that were to happen, which I hope it does not. I am just worried about a bunch of College Spring breakers showing up last min, and my wife and I getting sent to another resort over last minute signups, but all that being said it will all be warm no matter where we end up!!
I will cry if that happens and demand to be let to sleep in one of the cabanas! And this time, I'm not kidding!!
Once we have attended the Boobs Cruise, we let the desk know we are open to a bump @ Desire. This past trip they sent us to Pearl for the last three nights, and we LOVED it. It is definitely not the same party atmosphere as TTR, but really dislike having to be clothed at TTR, so a little of each is perfect for us.
For every one of you that doesn't want "the bump", there is one of us that is more than happy to take your place, so don't worry! Clothing optional lifestyle resorts are not for everyone, and they won't "make" you go. Always plenty of volunteers! (Me me me me me !) :daisy:
