Well, lets be honest !! We all wanted an alternative to TTR !!! TTR is a lot of fun, but its got its problems. Back in Oct, GOV seemed to be the answer to everyones wishlist. A lot less $$$, topless optional pool, included access to local niteclubs, 3 AM bar closing times, hiring Sara69, etc. Kinda depressing, but I would believe CCC reviews over TA and Facebook reviews 100% of the time. I think its just a matter of time before all of the changes take place. Its a choice if you want to wait or not. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it did get built !!!
just because OP has been a ccc member for 9 days has no bearing, she has simply stated the room is lackluster... not comparable to the ones which they placed photos of here in the early days of the new concept. Bottom line if I showed you a picture of a elegant gown for your lovely wife to wear to an important event and it showed up and was a garbage bag.. wouldn't you be irritated.. sure its still a gown but not what you were promised or expecting. Would you take it with a grain of salt or raise some hell? in essence thats what has happened here... oh look our beautiful room... oh we have beautiful rooms thank you for your money but you get motel 6... I'd be livid... I believe she otherwise had no complaints. Anyways Im done ranting... not gonna change anything. I arrive there in two weeks roughly and will arrive with a positive attitude and hope for the best. But in my opinion if someone don't call BS this charade will just continue... not fair to all involved Period.
I'm starting to get a bit concerned of the rooms. I'm attending this place because of the pics I saw that showed the fancy looking Chic rooms, not the ones that look like the OP pics. I don't want my 16th anniversary nights to go down in a place like this especially when we are used to certain types of hotels. Sounds like a bait n Switch to me. I may look into less days at GOV, and more at temptations ( doing both). People keep challenging members here on their reports, your justifying your decision to not make a change, that's cool but their opinion is their opinion. Just as yours will be when you return. All we want is a nice room/resort, vibe and a sexy crowd close to our age. Is that too much to ask for?
i looked into changing our reservation as well, but the alternative would cost me way too much at this point only two weeks out. had we not spent a bunch of money elsewhere for a few off site things to go do i'd have changed mine in a heartbeat.
The only thing I have said bad is my complaint of the room. I posted some pics for proof. I know I haven't been a member long but people were nice enough to leave reviews for me to read and awnser my questions so I thought to return the favor. I am not letting the bad room ruin our trip, were in Mexico and gonna make the most of it. I posted no boobie sightings because I know when I was reading reports before I came, that was a question many asked. I was trying to be helpful. Sorry, I am not the girl to be the only one topless. I would feel akward. I know I don't party as hard as some of you guys, and I am ok with that. That being said, there is no sexy vibe going on right now. We are having fun and enjoying our selfs, but so far have not seen the upscale rooms, or the sexy vibe going on. Its not ruining our trip, but its also not what was advertised or expected. We will live with it and have fun regardless. We are headed out to dinner and plan on checking out the bar later, I will keep you updated on my opinion of things.
Crowd age questions: What I have seen so far is a lot of 50+ yr olds, and some younger 19-20 year olds. We are in our early 30's and haven't seen many other couples our age so far. They could be here and we have just not seen them yet, idk? I personally don't care what age groups are here, I just want to have a good time
