Yikes, that's more like Motel 6 than a luxury resort, I'd demand a room or property change, they have enough properties and Oasis Sens is adults only too and from the bad reviews I'm thinking I'd request a room at oasis sens instead. Probably more organized and fun there as they haven't just recently had an identity crisis. I hope you get a nice room and enjoy your stay.
Furthermore I do not know when you booked but when we booked and I have the receipt and am bringing it along, the terms of the booking are they are to have 42" flat screen TV's this that and the other thing... if they won't cooperate at the front desk call the company where u booked if you have that to fall back on. Let them put some stick in the mud geezers in that crappy room they spend all nite asleep in it anyways.. not gonna put it to good use...lol
We are not worried at all! Take everything with a grain of salt.........kinda like reading Trip Advisor where the competing resort slams the competition. We hear GOV is fabulous...............but......don't believe us.......investigate on your own!
I believe it would be fine if you were in the nicer room, taking it with a grain of salt in this case is more like taking it up the ass, being screwed out of your hard earned vacation....if one wanted to stay in a place with no party atmosphere, no real dining choices without jumping thru hoops and slummy rooms, why not just book a hostel....save yourself a couple grand.. your still in mexico, can still go to the fabulous beach and with the saved money you can take your grain of salt put it on a glass fill it with tequila and buy a daypass to TTR..damn why didn't I think of that.....its entirely one thing to make an educated decision to go to a place knowing its this or that.. but they advertise a "hip" adults only atmosphere and luxury 4 star rooms.. well when I booked my vaca here I made my choice based on that premis...and if in fact I get there and they stick me in that dumpy room I will certainly not be taking it with a grain of salt... the atmosphere is not truly in their control, but the amenities which they sold me most certainly are. The party atmosphere is what one makes it, but to retire to a slum room.. I dunno it would sure chap my ass being sold one thing and getting something which isn't even close.
Totally agree Dan that there is a big diffrence between tripadvisor and Cancuncare.......... But I ain't going to take a review on cancuncare anymore serious then tripadvisor when the person has only been on cancuncare for 9 days.
Well said, j. The grain of salt idea went out with the photos, which I looked at before reading this thread. We are committed, booked and hopefully our early April group will still visit. With the salt shaker half full, maybe it will get better soon. Thanks for the live report.
So twice in this trip review, I have read "still no sight of boobies".....my question is.... Have YOU been out topless??? I know when I get there, I'm not going to look for other people, I'm gonna whip mine out and have a great time! I may be the only 1 out of 1000.... But I'm there to have a great time, and not looking to follow other people! Hope your trip gets better, but remember..... YOU are the only one who can make your trip a memorable one!!!
