Walmart trip - Vodka / mixers and?

We usually run across the street for vodka and mixers. Can't imagine spending time at Wal Mart. Anyway, last year, we grabbed the booze in the airport. It was cheaper!

 

I hate going to Walmart at home when I actually need things. There is no chance I'm ever going to step inside one while I could be in the Sexy Pool. I make due with the beers provided in the room and the bars in the resort. We spend as little time in the room as possible - much rather be out and about around the resort.

 

How are the prices across the street? Compared to say walmart or the convenience store?

 

Gatorade at Walmart is half the price of the hotel store.

Also across the street from Walmart (think walking out the door, turrning left and actross that street that you catch the bus back to TTR on) is L'Europa liquor store which has the lowest prices I seen for booze.

I usually make a run in the beginning and pick up enough Gatorade for the full trip (14 to 15 bottles, one for every morning) and my Jager and then I'm set for the trip!

I completely agree with you. I'd hate to be struck by lightening while shopping there and have my obituary state I was found dead in a Mexican Walmart lol.

 

Why dont people buy liquor in the Cancun airport before heading to TTR? They have a HUGE selection. And from what Ive seen, it's cheaper than we can get it here.

 

We always go to Walmart as soon as we are checked in. We buy wine, snacks and sweets, and plenty of Gatorade for the rest of the trip. Doesn't take very long, and you save a lot of money if you are buying as much Gatorade as we do.

depends which terminal you arrive at only 1 has ''duty free'

 

Anyone know which top shelf Rum's they sell there?
Has anyone seen Flor De Cana, Ron Zacappa, or Diplimatico there (Walmart or Airport)?
After reading around a bit, guess I need to bring sand to the beach!
From what I can tell the mini bar is only stocked with beer!
