this is an interesting topic.. We arrive tomorrow to TTR !!! I'm assuming they try to push this stuff when we walk in ? Is best way to avoid it just to take room key and walk past them ? What is normal help when we arrive v.s. help from someone trying to sell me something ?

We've always just said no thanks not interested If they are persistant I simply yell at them the second time at the top of my lungs to "FUCK OFF", its always gotten their attention immediately as they tuck their tale between their legs and walk away. Some might say that's rude of me and their only doing their job, BUT its my vacation and I already said no thanks polietly while having direct eye contact. Seems they push and push and push there luck, can't imagine what Terresa went though, if that happened to Jodie I would of knocked him out sneeking up behind her like that. Creeper! Obvisouly TTR Timeshare Staff doesn't understand a simply rule with everyone.... NO Means NO
This will be our first trip and we were just wondering who those people are? to they work for the hotel? what membership are they trying to sell? They sure sound like a pain in the a..... We to are simply looking to register and move on to experience the madness...lol
Ok, so when you check in, you will go to the desk inside the door to your left. THEN they are gonna try to wiggle you over to desks that will be behind you for your "Welcome Gift" maps etc. These are the ones that will want to give you a tour blah, blah, blah. Just get your room keys and the bellboy to get you to your room. I think there is a map on here somewhere of the resort. Don't be afraid to ask other guests anything.
Ditto ^^...never mind. After I re-looked up the map, I realized it says RCI, which is a timeshare exchange company. So, assuming they work directly for RCI??

Easiest way to think of it, while your either in line at the front desk, or at the front desk during your check-in, if the person signing you in was your 12 o'clock, look around you your right around 4 or 5, there's several desk in a row going down the hallway, its those people you want to avoid, just grab your suitcase and go to your room, seeing that you won't know where each section is, you will need the bell hop to take you to your room. Once there quickly change into your swim suits, head towards the noisy sexy pool and introduce youself to people at the bar, don't be shy just tell em its your first time there and you'll make new friend before you know it, espically if there from Cancuncare. The resort is big/small enough that you'll not need a tour. Ask the Cancuncare people to show you around its free and way more fun
When we went to trr cabo, we had the speel. first was a mexican lady, when she couldnt close the deal, was off to a guy who's ** gasp** mother was from our home town. ASked him if she was from the lake side of town, or the other. he replied lake. Told him there is no lake, fuk off. Checking into TTR cabo last year, sonny the concierge tried hard to book us into the presentation. Told him we'd had the speel many times. the 2 girls with us almost went for it, told them to keep going, not interested... they left us alone.
