Just booked our trip through Expedia w/air Mar 9-17. There were no options offered except for 1 room upgrade which I did not opt for. I don't even know if Internet is included. Hope so. Hoping they reward us with an upgrade. See ya there!

We did stay in a room with a balcony. However the rooms without a balcony still had a 12' x 2' window that you could crank open. Not a real balcony, but pretty dang close. The non balcony rooms seemed to be about 3' deeper also.

After reading this entire thread, I have to say we are intrigued. The one real complaint we have about TTR is that the physical resort itself is not nice enough. We love the people and the atmosphere at TTR. If you can duplicate those two things in a nicer resort, we are all in!

We've got a trip planned for mid-late Feb, but haven't booked anywhere yet. If I can get the Sian Ka`An room at a great price, I WILL book it. Then I'll write a great trip review here on CCC for everyone to read our point of view.

The room reservation system is the typical Mexico that we love. Doesn't sound like you will know until you get there. TTR Cabo had a jacuzzi suite that you could get for a steal on Orbitz, we got it two years in a row. Only to find out many many "owners" were trying to get a suite and never could. So there is no good system of room reservations that we have experienced in the last 4 years of traveling to MX.

As was explained to us, there is no longer a "Grand Upgrade". In the past this resort did in fact have two levels (standard and Grand). After Oct 2013, everyone is GRAND. We all knew we were anyway, right !!!

Yeh , I seen mentioned a few times now its only 2 ,,and 2 at the spa you have to pay a nominal fee (11$ @ hour??)

The hot tub thing was a plus for me too, I usually get a Jaccuzi room , but with the hot tubs was going to save some $$.

By April the pools should be warmer, so going to make the best of it .
