Is there a certain company you used for private transport or did you just grab someone at the airport?
use us transfers here on the thread...they really are the best for getting you quickly both from the airport and to the airport. It is a private transport and well worth the extra dollar. Once we did this we will not go back to a shared transport unless it is with people headed to TTR with us. :aktion025: We have not really had a bad experience with other companies...this one is just the fastest and it is affordable!
My understanding is never ever talk to anyone at the airport... once you get through customs have your luggage... get moving.. do not stop, they are tricky in the airport... just keep moving get outside and as been recommended USA Transfer.. they will be outside normally to the left with their sign. We highly recommend USA transfer, they have always been there both ways. We've had transfers with our package but found TTR is the last resort.. so you make many stops along the way. We like getting out getting in and getting to TTR..
We have 3 times. It was shared but always ontime and polite. But have to stop at other resorts. After you leave the airport, they are all the way at the end. Usually have to wait 10-15 minutes to leave but gives us time to have a smoke...
That's who we go through every year. It's ok. Shared transportation. We don't mind it since we both tend to strike up conversations with fellow travelers. However Temptation is always the last stop. Kinda wished now I would have booked through Us Transfers. Oh well.
a vast majority of CCC folks use USA Transfers. link: CLICK ME $55 round trip in a private transfer. no waiting for van to fill up with 15 other people, and no waiting to be last ones dropped off after 6-8 other stops. very reliable and friendly service. i've used them 8 times personally, and pretty much everyone i know uses them as well. and my personal best was just over 1 hour from landing to being in the sexy pool, and using USA Transfers. i'd rather pay a few extra bucks for personalized service and get to spend an extra hour in the sexy pool upon arrival.
This might seem kind of strange.....but while we don't do anything to delay our arrival....we have actually come to appreciate the process a bit. Hitting margaritaville outside the airport is a traditional favorite. Definitely USA transfer. Don't even consider anything else. Stopping for a 6-pack is an option but we usually just grab an extra or two at the airport. From there we take in the view as we ride. It's about 20-30 depending on the traffic. Yes....getting in line first at the desk is nice.....but if it doesn't quite work out you can still trade off standing in line and take turns going after drinks and snooping at the sexy pool until you get through check-out. I have never had a problem getting a drink from the bar in the buffet without a bracelet. One hint of advice. While sometimes painful......we take the earliest flight possible. Getting to Temptation around 1:00 might result in your room not being ready but will usually not result in the 1 hour check-ins that take place around 4:00. If you wait a bit at 1:00 you don't feel like you are "missing" out on the sexy pool. Standing in line at 4:00.....is PAINFUL knowing the sexy pool is closing!
